At least he learned his lesson to not lie to investigators...this time he just isn’t saying anything to them to begin with. Maybe after a few more coaching gigs, he will learn not to cheat in the first place.

It is hard to believe that Pearl would be stupid enough to get involved in a bribery scheme to land recruits--unless he felt desperate after three bad seasons and the prospect of losing the auburn job for team performance reasons.

This sounds like damned if you do, damned if you don't. If he cooperates, he likely incriminates himself and gets fired. If he doesn't cooperate, Auburn says they'll fire him.

Has there ever been a head coach to receive a show cause related to their violations at two different schools? LOL

They probably don't need to even bother with one in this case, because if this goes down like it's looking like it will,he'll likely never coach again. Even if he does, it will at best an average mid-major.

He's absolutely done. He received a 3-year show cause from the Tennessee stuff. If he goes down for this, he'd receive a show cause of at least that long, double the baggage he already has, and he's 57 years old.

FBI claims they have evidence to show Ricky Pitino knew of all of the deals. If Ricky P, who lives at the foot of the crossknew, you damn sure know a NCAA scumbag like Pearl knew. He is wise not saying anything. You can find another job but not going to prison is the objective here
