The 4-year period for the Qatar Men’s World Cup generated revenues north of $7B. It’s honestly not even a comparison of value whenever you are talking about money. If anything, the USWNT actually makes more money than the men now because they are getting a larger chunk compared to the revenue generated in the World Cups for each. If we want to talk about equity then the men are now underpaid compared to the women…

If we’re being honest, I think they’re ALL overpaid, soccer, baseball, football, tennis...

They definitely are and the TV networks are to blame. They all just keep increasing their TV deals and that will in turn keep increasing player and coach salaries. The average MLB salary in 1967 was $19K. The average salary in 2023 is nearly $5M…

And yet ticket prices for fans are through the roof 🤔

Yes Jaylen Brown of Celtics recently signed that contract close to I believe 60 million a year for playing basketball!!!!
