The good news is both Drew Gilbert and Jett Williams, should both be close to making a return to the field. The $hitty Mets need to get both of these guys on the field (health permitting) and start building for the future.I have been a fan of Francisco Lindor but if I were managing the lovable Mets, I’d probably lose my job because his @$$ would be riding the pine for a few games!!
Did you guys see him nonchalantly lay his bat on his shoulder and watch strike 3?

Lindor is a head scratcher. He was great in Cleveland, just something about New York that kills careers in all Sports. The good news is both Drew Gilbert and Jett Williams, should both be close to making a return to the field. I think you see both of them, along with Ronny Mauricio, on the ‘25 opening roster and the Mets will make some moves with some of their veterans.
They just have to get these young prospects healthy.
More of an issue that these guys get that big payday and think they can get fat and lazy with all that guaranteed money. Happens in every sport. Ezekiel Elliott, James Harden, Anthony Rendon, just to name a few. Guaranteed money is the worst thing that ever happened to sports. Every contract should be incentive laden and only fully guaranteed for a career ending injury. If you get injured then you can opt for worker’s comp and get 2/3 of your salary while you rehab and whenever you are actually dressed and on the active roster again your salary fully resumes. That would cut a lot of this BS entitlement out of sports imo.Lindor is a head scratcher. He was great in Cleveland, just something about New York that kills careers in all Sports.
