@MAD i just learned something about soccer and have even more appreciation for the game.
A CBS soccer analyst, on the Pat Mcafee show, was just asked about flopping and he explained it like this, and I’m paraphrasing...yeah, we get kicked and hit and it hurts, but we’ve been running for an hour or more and most of the time, when you see that guy rolling around on the ground, he’s taking one for both teams and giving everyone that second and third wind, the refs know it and are down for a break as well. It’s part of the game and an unwritten “timeout” if you will.
I have never thought about it like that before.

That makes a lot of sense, I never knew that. That is a time when the trainers run on to give aid to the injured player with tons of water bottles. Very cool info.

If that’s the case then they need to shorten matches. Otherwise get in better shape and stop complaining.
