So I went to Fulton high school, let’s just say...soccer was not our strongest sport.
Our football coach encouraged us to play other sports in the off season, so a few of us decided to play soccer. Well, they had no choice but to take anyone that tried out, or we wouldn’t have enough to field a team. Long story short, we were terrible!
Then we got an exchange student from Germany, named Filipe.
The funniestyou ever saw!! Basically he was a one man team, doing his thing while the rest of us just stood on the field and watched him work.

Sounds like you enjoyed yourself!Coach Justin Gainey talked today at our dinner/meeting.
He was pretty open with a couple of us.
They knew they were getting a good player in Knecht, but not that good, Knecht put in the work!
Barnes rode him hard and Knecht let it fuel him. The day after he dropped like 40 on Auburn, “he’s never seen a coach pick apart a players defense, like Barnes did in the film session the next day!”
The first thing Barnes made Knecht do after being drafted was call Lebron and Anthony Davis, and tell them he wants to work with them(practice and workouts) because he wants to learn and become a better player.
Lanier is a shooter! A better shooter that Knecht.
Okpara is a game changer around the rim, tough, likes to bang, athletic for a big, is much better than what he saw on OSU film and brings a different component to the team, that we haven’t had in a while.
Millicic is going to be a great option for us.
ZZ and Maishack are by far the leaders and both really understand the system and the game now and are loose, just having fun and are ready for big seasons.
Almost all of the guys made big strides in the weight room and in conditioning.
If Barnes sees that a player is good, that’s not good enough and he demands more!
Criteria they look for in guys...work ethic, attitude, guys that don’t have the “baggage of being highly recruited”
This is the most structured program he’s been a part of and family oriented too.
Losing Knecht was big but losing Vescovi and JJJ is going to be a tough task to replace those two!
Just some of the notes I took, while we were eating and shooting the.
He seems like a really good dude, talked a lot about his son Jordan, you can tell he’s a proud dad, he just had that look in his eye when he talked about him.
Says there is a lot of work to be done, it’s a different team but the goal is still the same, keep climbing and build on last year.
Says this is going to be a really fun team!
