That's news to me. Every time he came to bat I'd see that he's still in that
bad habit of swinging at those pitches off the plate striking out. Pisses me off too.

His strikeout percentage is about the same as it has been the previous 4 seasons. He has averaged striking out ~27-28% of his at bats during that timeframe. He is at 27.76% this season.

No, but I'm sick of seeing the pussification of sports.

ie, wearing all that protection IN the box? Personally, I think they should have to wear it all while on the bases.

That stupid mitten thing they wear to run the bases is straight up embarrassing.

Also he has had quite a bit of bad luck this year. His exit velocity and hard hit ball % (balls exiting 95mph+) are the highest of his career. In fact, his exit velocity is a full 1mph higher than last year.

When Riley is at bat each time B4 the next pitch he steps out & has that annoying routine of adjusting his batting gloves. He just fixed them just seconds ago. I know batters all have their routines on timing for the next pitch. Things are a habit though.

At least he isn’t Nomar whenever it comes to the gloves. I lost my 💩 anytime I saw him at bat 🤣
