Ok, take football away from all these schools and see how well they all function. I guarantee you could take away literally every other sport for these big time schools and they would function just fine, if not better, as a football only school. I don’t want that to happen but that’s just the reality.

Every school is getting a cut of total pot 20.5 million dollars each. You're acting like the football team brought all that in. You believe that Minnesota brought $20 million in revenue in football?

Actually, much more than that. A friend of mine’s son plays at Minn. The Gophers generated almost $130M in revenue in 23.

Minnesota gets about $60M from the Big Ten TV contract alone. And that’s because of football and a sprinkling of men’s basketball. You can get your panties in a wad over this but the fact remains that football brings in almost all the money for these schools.

Whenever women’s sports can bring in $100M for their university then they can get equal distribution of revenue shares. It’s not a matter of putting them down. It’s simple economics and no athlete in any other sport deserves as much as the football players due to how much money they bring in. So you look at these numbers and you go tell those football players they deserve the exact same as a rower, soccer player, swimmer, etc.

All Tennessee Sports Revenue: $234M

Football: $149M
Men’s Basketball: $27M
Women’s Basketball: $4M
All Other Sports: $17M
Non-Specific Programs: $37M
