The most obvious place where I see us paying a price for our success is in the midweek game threads.

The lunatics didn't used to show up until later-season conference weekends. Now, all the folks that don't understand the ebb and flow of a baseball season show up on an early March Tuesday, thinking it is football, pre-playoffs, where if you lose a game you are done.

Somebody is going to catch us sooner or later. Adversity only makes you stronger. Gosh, though, winning so much is fun to watch. Ive been a Vol fan for more years than I can count and its been exciting to see all the Vol teams experience so much success.

If they had a single brain cell they could just check out the box scores of any random midweek game within the conference and see that every team has either struggled or lost to an inferior opponent. It’s just the nature of the sport and anyone that has ever played knows that.

Yeah what our program has done is not normal. Usually teams drop at least a couple of these midweek games but Tony always seems to have his kids dialed in. Not many teams have the firepower to run rule an opponent that scored 9 runs.
