My friends were asking me if I was alright because I was getting emotional. Whenever I saw he and Barnes hug each other and Zakai lifted him up it just came over me and that’s when it hit me. From him not being highly recruited to his mother’s home getting burned, to VolNation paying for them a new home in Tennessee. You can tell he is a genuine human being from the way he speaks. He says that he is from Long Island but his home will forever be Tennessee. He has had to overcome a lot in his life and I empathize with the struggle. There have been a lot of Vols I have felt saddened over for their last game but Zakai just hit differently for me.
