So, I don’t want to disparage Lanier with this comment but……

Anyone else notice how Lanier has just hit another level when the Dance started. Like, “I’m gonna earn my draft place right now while everyone in the country is watching.”

He didn’t play this hard nor shoot this confidently in the regular season. Not that I saw. And that’s fine. You have practice players, game day players, and stars that truly shine when the trophy is on the line.

He scored 30 in a road game at A&M about a month ago. Fourteen 20 point games. Six 25 point games. Several other games just under 20 points. He has been our best scoring threat all season and it’s not even close. I’m glad he is stepping up in the postseason. This is what you want from your best scorer.
