With NIL and the portal. There is something about the structure of the NFL that makes it more appealing than the the Wild West of college football.Would not hurt my feelings if they dropped NBA and NFL too. I soured on pro sports a long time ago - MLB first. Gimme more UT sports on TV and put more $$$ in UT's pockets.
I view it as a win for MLB anyways. ESPN wasn’t promoting the sport and not showing very many games. They can now disperse their rights to more companies and get more exposure. I’m sure FOX will want more MLB and NBC has shown an interest. TBS/TNT will probably be in to get more since the NBA left. They can stream games on Max also. If Manfred doesn’t screw the pooch on this then baseball can be in a much better place than it was with ESPN.Would not hurt my feelings if they dropped NBA and NFL too. NFL will do anything to maintain its chosen players/teams. There is a reason why Goodell burned those Patriots tapes. And there is a reason Mahomes gets preferential treatment. I’m still drawn more to college football but it’s starting to get to a teetering phase. If they just fixed the tampering issue that would go a long way for me. I don’t even root for the individual players as much anymore, just the Tennessee Vols across the chest. So it’s pretty much turned into the NFL as far as that is concerned. Only way around that is making them employees and signing 3 year contracts with a 1 or 2 year player option if they want to play a senior season or redshirt. With NIL and the portal. Understand. When I graduated, long ago, we moved to Chicago to start my career. MLB was holding negotiations at OHare in the players strike and the local media was covering it closely. Of course negotiations included more of everything for the players which meant higher costs for fans. How many of us would have given anything to have the chance at pro ball, right? So the reporter asked a rep if he was concerned about fans coming back after the strike and he replied he was not worried about the fans, that the fans would be back. I quit watching that very evening. How many young families cannot attend a game because of the cost!!! Seeing young families at UT games is a big part of the fun for this old Papa. With NIL and the portal. It says Fanduel sports south for todayI don't think I'll be watching Braves Baseball this year unless its on ESPN.
I don't see where they're on TV anymore like they used to be. Things have
gone sideways stupid for this year. No more Bally Sports channel. Its gone.
Of course, I'm not paying Xtra for a streaming servive that spins & loads constantly.
Who is your television provider? It’s called FanDuel Sports Network now…I don't think I'll be watching Braves Baseball this year unless its on ESPN.
