Ole Miss at Vandy

Nah, didn’t control the ball to the ground. Good call. As a matter of fact, should’ve been a Vandy interception.

It sounds like (from others) the Vandy player’s feet were out of bounds; so wasn’t a possibility either.

Well, Dores get bowl eligible next week after they kick the ish out of the lowly Vols.

That's the problem. They were rolling on the ground. How long is he supposed to hold it?

Apparently until his entire body stops moving. This is the SEC, we just make up rules as we go.

You have to have control all the way to the ground for it to be a catch.

if thats the case, then why does a running back who breaks the plane with the ball and fumbles it, it happens all the time reaching for the pylon. I just think its dumb when he is considered down as soon as his but hits and he had possession, ball didnt start moving till he was on his back.

The DB just rolled up his arm and finally took it away. I think it was BS. It's fighting for the ball after you're already down.

That's a terrible call! Ole Miss got ripped off. The receivers's knee was down in the endzone before any bobbling in the right hand.
guess that the price they pay for Freeze cheating -- werent getting a bowl game anyway

I agree with you, the player was down and had the touchdown.

Who gives a ish how many vol of dores fans will be there? Doesn’t matter. Better team is Vandy and they’ll manhandle Tennessee next week. Book it.
We'll win that one. Ole Miss is worse than we are defensively.

Well, when the ball breaks the plane it doesn't matter what happens afterward. On a pass catch it has to be controlled all they way thru even if the player hits the ground, unless he has it long enough to make what is considered a football move.

Fun fact: Vanderbilt’s number of victories over Ole Miss (40) is now only two less than its number of victories over Kentucky (42).

It’s the program they have the second most victories against all time.

The guys on SEC are calling it BS too. Dari Nowkhah is going off about how they called that back.

He's right. He had it in two hands, both feet down, then tucked it, then his butt hits and he stretches out his arm.... then the defender rolls up his arm while he's laying there and his helmet his the ball. It's crazy that you can get a reversal on something that inconclusive.
