I go to Ole Miss and I really want Admiral Ackbar to be our new mascot. It would be hilarious to see him on the sidelines.

For as hilarious of an idea as this is, even if the school and alumni somehow okayed the idea, I imagine the biggest hurdle would be the copyright that George Lucas certainly has on the character. If it could all fall into place it would be awesome. If they had a problem with an old southern gentleman, I can't really see them going for a giant squid. If it does happen, it is a must that they have AA wear the same outfit as Colonel Reb though, red suit, hat and cane would be a good look for him.

I think it's crazy enough to happen. George Lucas is about having a legacy as well, this isn't some business trying to make money off their product, this is an SEC school wanting to make it their mascot. I honestly hope it happens, at least it isn't Jar Jar.

I can't believe Ole Miss would enlist a Star Wars dude when they could have a drunken chipmunk for free.

Ok i can't play along. Yeah this all tongue and cheek humor from the Ole Miss students because honestly 90% want to keep the old mascot, so this is just a way to get back at the administration.

Never gonna happen, would be epic if it did.
