Good win by LSU. They've been pretty solid of late. I feel REALLY bad with whom ever is talking to Daniels though. He's an okay college QB. Dobbs was as good running, maybe better passing, certainly smarter, none of which gets you on an NFL field as a starter. This guy is going to disappear when he's done (might've been an awesome receiver). He and LSU are wasting their time with him.....he's wasting his time.....but, IMO, Kelly knows that but he's working with what he's got in year 0. Still can't stand Kelly......

Bama has been exposed as just a good team. MSU D was very physical with them as were we. They are vulnerable.

It’s a coaching issue. How much longer until Saban’s staff implodes? They have more talent and depth than just about everyone and aren’t showing it this year.

People are talking about LSU being a vastly improved team since the Tennessee game as if that game was 3 months ago. It was 2 weeks ago.
If Tennessee had played lsu yesterday the results would have been the same or worse for lsu. We would have been up 21-28 pts to start the 2nd quarter given lsu slow start and forced them to play daniels differently.

That’s the beauty of our offense when it is clicking.

I was hoping they’d put a game together and win a close on but they’ll be going to Atlanta. LSU is terrible and I’d rather them get there than listen to Kelly all off season spew about house LSU is the place to go pretending like 40-13 never happened.

I was surprised Golding wasn't shown the door after his DUI. It isn't like he's done a great job anyway. He seems like a replacement-level DC to me.

I see him leaving USCe where he found it. Nowhere.
They have no oxygen where the East has realigned to the traditional power structure.

I don't even know a person who's a South Carolina grad, I don't think, but nevertheless, I always think other people's motivations and opinions are easy to understand. I'm evidently alone in that.

My guess would be that they have reasonable expectations. That would be my guess. This is something that Tennessee fans should be able to understand that it could be happening somewhere. Even if you don't do it, you can understand that somebody else could do it. So, in light of their reasonable expectations, I would guess that they think the players like him and they like him.

But again, I don't know any of them. Just a guess.

What they're not saying is "If you don't hate this coach and hate these players you're not a true Vol fan". "There's no excuse for not winning a national championship every year" "You obviously accept mediocrity, but not me. I demand that everybody hate this coach. The whole UT administration should be held accountable. The Vols should be relevant 100% of the time." Those are very different ideas about football, the ones that South Carolina has from that ones that we experience as our normal.

I haven't really seen anybody claim anywhere that he's an incredible coach or that he'll get South Carolina back to where they were under Spurrier circa 2010-13. Beamer is good at drawing attention to himself and his program, which at a school like South Carolina is a big part of his job. He's also got a good last name which undeniably helps. They've played a weak schedule, but I don't think their own fans hold that against him. They will likely come into their game with us at 7-3 at worst, which they are more than happy with given the historical standing of their program.

They'll beat Mizzou and Vandy, which would give them 7 wins. They'll finish 7-5 with a chance for 8 wins in the bowl game, which is a good season for them.

There are a ton of people on VN who assume college sports are like professional, and if you go a long time without winning or competing for hardware then you suck. They think that every program, except maybe programs like Vandy, can and should have expectations of competing for and winning titles.

There about 50 programs whose fan bases believe they should be competing for the natty every few years. When you do the math that leaves a lot of disappointed fans.
