"Bowl ban" has now been thrown around regarding Ole Miss.

If they start the season 1-3 (very possible if you look at their schedule), look for them to self impose a one year postseason ban effective in 2016 in order to protect any damage of that to recruiting. Louisville basketball did the same thing in March. The NCAA should stipulate that any self imposed postseason ban cannot be made after the season has already started and they've had a chance to see what kind of season they're looking at.

When Mississippi shocked the college football world and signed the No. 7 recruiting class in the nation in February 2013, it didn't pass the smell test for a lot of people in and around the sport.

Three years later, we can say with reasonable certainty that their noses did not deceive them. There was a questionable odor coming from Oxford then, and it is lingering over Hugh Freeze's program to this day.

Pretty much correct regarding Ole Miss' recent success. Time for it to all come crashing back down to earth.

It's nice to read that. Particularly when it doesn't happen often.

next time you lose the turnover battle by 4 make it be in Neyland stadium this October.

people who point to that game didn't watch it. Bama should not have been in that game at all.

We lost it by 5, actually. I can't recall the last time I've seen a team have a -5 turnover margin and still be in the game in the final moments.

One fumble came on the opening kick when our returner ran into his own blocker.

Two picks were by Bateman and they were really bad.

Two picks were by Coker. The first was a tipped ball and the second was a long desperation throw in the final minute.

I don't know if you recognize this reference but is Bateman your Nathan Peterman?
