Greg Mcelroy said it best last night on SECN, Tennessee's achilles heel will be their OL, if they have one. We need more depth and talent

and the coaches are getting there. Signed 5 guys last yr. Im sure they will sign 3-4 more this cycle. Atleast most of the young guys now are pretty talented. It'll just take time to develop.

Mahoney has lowered our ceiling two years in a row. It's showtime for him and his gang.

The focus is mainly on tackle position. We already have Johnson. They may have to consider a G to protect in case of possible transfers if Weisman and Kendrick are still unhappy about playing time after the season.

Dickerson is top of the list but he hasn't visited in a while.

There is some Williams kid out of MD or DC one that we like a lot but he is really quiet so not sure where he stands.

Price

Tatum out of Fla is really high on us.

Some kid out of South Carolina is another tackle we are high on but tough pull over gamecocks and Clemson

I wouldn't be suprised if we eventually made a late run Mathews if things don't go our way with our top guys.

I believe this coaching staff will finish with a flurry when it comes to the OLine. They have Ryan Johnson committed. I believe they will get commitments from two linemem out of the group of Landon Dickerson, Marcus Tatum and Jauan Williams. My best guess would be Dickerson and Tatum.

I also believe they will keep pushing after Bryce Matthews to get him to flip from Ole Miss to UT. It happened with Richmond and it could happen with Matthews. It ain't over till the fax lady sings.

Also, look for at least one walk-on lineman to be in this class, someone like Bailey Byrum out of Sweetwater H.S.

This looks pretty accurate. I would add the Price kid out of GA to the list of possibles as well.

I think we're much, much better than we were at Tackle but we need a year to get Hall and Richmond up to snuff for the SEC. I do believe Chance Hall and Drew Richmond will be your tackles after this season and we'll have a much deeper and stronger interior line as well.

I'm thinking we should take 3 tackles, and at least one who may be able to play guard OR tackle. We've been so depleted for so long on offensive tackles, we can't have enough IMO. We've lost two O linemen in the last week or so and that sux.

The Tatum kid out of Fla just told 247 he has Florida on top( not surprising) with TN 2nd followed by Arky. Seeing Arky tells me this is a guy we should hope we get

i didnt mean this as a slight to the current guys, we need talented depth. how about that? i meant this as a discussion about guys we might be in om for '16 cycle?

Absolutely not. Doesn't have to be a priority like at WR or RB this year, but we have to replenish. Gotta sign at least 2 or 3 every year, and more, like last year, when depth dictates it. Surely 2012's class with no OL taught us that lesson....we're still paying for it.

If we have a decent season and keep holding on to the 2 5 star QB commitments, we won't have to worry. Great prospects will be banging on the door trying to get on the Vol train.

Dickerson & EJ Price are two guys very high on the priority board, they can both play Tackle though some have Dickerson pinned as a guard in college. Either way they are both top 100 recruits.

Good stuff, how many did we get last year? do you think we may try and stack up to protect the freshman quarterback coming in with experience?

UnfortuNately Dickerson is looking like a lost cause. auburn, FSU and Va Tech are his leaders. Has 3 officials set for Auburn, FSU and Michigan. UGA, VA Tech and TN battling for one and plans to leave the other one open for a random team to jump in the mix possibly Stanford. He may not use official on Va Tech and sounds like he is leaning to the fat lazy dog for that official
