Oline recruiting '16?

As bad as our line has been the last two years I was certain this would be a priority. Guess not?

Why?

Who needs offensive line men when Dobbs can run and WRs can get open in milliseconds

guess their hedging their bets on Jones, Richmond, Steward, Boulware, etc.... the only thing this damn team needs to be recruiting is a O line and a secondary.... and be able to honestly say you would push for playing time right from the start. Randolph and McNeil are gone after this year and probably Sutton (although he needs to start stepping up a little more)and Mosley and Foreman are not SEC starters... they are pure backups who should come in for another guy's breather or mop up duty. We must Get Warrior, Knott, Hardman and others along with some O lineman or we are going to be in another "GAP" of talent developing after this year.

5 months before signing day, give it rest. Alarmist, you shouldn't worry about something before it happens. Again, for the 1,000th time.....these OL are young and inexperienced....they need another year of strength training and experience. I guess when all of you started a new job, you excelled the first day. It's amazing how everyone's common sense absolutely is absent in these matters. Let's find 7 5*s that will start on the first day of their freshman year and see how well they perform in the SEC......I remember a OL not too long ago that played for UT that had all the 5* and 4* and they struggled.......come'on VolNation! wake up and get your head out that alcohol or drug induced dream state and come down to earth. This team needs more development.......it is obvious that Freshman and Sophomores have issues on offense line, Defense is not such a big learning curve. It is amazing how every NN can decipher offense and defensive schemes, but are clueless to development and exposure.

Go Team 119!

we need 3 more OL IN THIS CLASS, or at least 2, does anyone know if we are high on the list of any of the elite OL and if so who?

After 3 years... it may be time to question whether the problem is the players or the system they're being asked to execute. UF has younger, less developed OL's who did played solid in McElwain's system.

Since Stewart will be coming in for next year that puts us at 2. We really need one more guy with arms long enough to play tackle.

Not saying Stewart isn't capable but you don't really know what your going to get.....I'd be recruiting as if there was no Stewart. Need serviceable depth not just bodies and if that's what's holding us back, make it a strength. JMO

Why is it year in and year out, other team's seem to have "Barnett" type players on the OL whilst at UT, we say, "We're young and we need developing...".

If "good" OLines were comprised of Srs and Jrs only, then I'd say you're right. But some "good" Olines are full of RS Fresh and Soph. Would I have rather have Srs and Jrs? Of course - who wouldn't? But coaches get paid to "coach up" players. It seems occasionally we would witness that at UT as it pertains to the OL.

Guys, we're in the mix for several offensive lineman for 2016. E.J. Price, Landon Dickerson, and Jauan Williams, off the top of my head. NSD is still five months away.

They need DB's and linebackers more than offensive lineman. Two or three linemen should do it this class.

They are trying with Dickerson, Simpson, Tatum, and Price. I don't know how well that is going though. I would be suprised if we didn't end up with at least 3 OL. I don't see more than 4 though as they like some elite guys in 2017

I'd count Jashon Robertson. Freshman All-American last year. That's "Barnett" type.
