I watched most of that and he did look pretty good at times and finished with like 20 some points but he still has very stone weak hands that I think will always hold him back. Not sure how you fix that. I know one time in particular the guard drove the lane dished off to him and it just hit his hands and went out of bounds for a turnover at a crucial time in that game. I wish him well and hope he has a great career professionally but I do think our team is probably a little better upgrade now.

Sux that he developed every year here only to xfer for his best season. I have never seen a bigger head scratcher as a player. Looked like the 2nd coming of Karl Malone last year vs TX, USC, and Duke. But absolutely disappeared in @ ⅓ of the games. Most inconsistent player I ever saw at UT. I must have grunted out the word "Comwaahhhh" 100 times over that past 4 seasons over some inexplicable play for a player with so much fundamental talent.
Good luck young man.

Based on past history, he'll probably score 5 or less the next 6 or 7 games
He's actually been remarkably consistent, this year, versus what he did at Tennessee. Granted, it's come with a larger expected role, more minutes, and the expectation that he is the go-to guy in the post. His rebounding totals have picked up, but not really on a per-40 basis. Points are up, but on an increased number of shots. The biggest difference has been the fact that there haven't been the lulls. Season low in points has been 9, season low in rebounds has been 4.

Best player on a bad team does not equal good player. I doubt they will have a winning record after conference schedule.

I don’t think he actually grew an inch, either. I expect Brandon Huntley Hatfield will become the better post player, yet we stuck with a less than active small forward and lost both ultimately.

Hatfield is looking like a bust.

Better off without both of them.

I just never felt like they were a true Rick Barnes type player and he had to try all kinds of things to motivate them to play hard. Not just RB's hard but average hard. Some people are cut out for it...and some aint. Like the 3 young lads raking my leaves right now...two are working hard the other has been checking his phone the entire time. Actually sad to me.

Not sure what graduate degree he is seeking, but Michigan is academically strong in several fields. I think it's been a win/win for all involved.

I don't think there was ever a question that Nkamhoua could be a 15/5 (or 17/7 as he is right now) kind of player. Rick Barnes said he could be that good years ago. But he had plenty of games at Tennessee where he didn't bring it. Plenty of big games where he barely even registered a stat line.

As to why he didn't bring it, who can say, but the staff in Knoxville was adamant about him having the talent. So. Meh. Whatever.

I get what everyone here says about his inconsistencies but anyone who thinks we are better off with our 3rd big being Estrella or Phillips is crazy. Those guys are not near as strong and athletic as Nkamhoua. Plus you get the occasional 20 pt game from him.
The problem is somebody we currently have couldn’t be on the team if ON had stayed and some who came may have seen a logjam and decided to go elsewhere for earlier playing time. Everything is a trade off
