Alright who is going and what are some must do things with the kids. Also, best place to grab tickets? Should I get tickets before I go or wait? Best places to stay? I plan on making my first trip this year.

Two years ago we stayed in St Joseph. It’s about 2 hours away from Omaha. Made the trip up easier…a little. Some cheap place since we were only gonna use it to crash for a few. About half way from there to Omaha is a place called Applebarrel. They had a buffet breakfast with steak and pork chops. I think my son ate three steaks…lol. He still talks about that breakfast. Omaha has a great baseball kids area just across the street from the stadium. Hitting, pitching, and tons of swag. Be careful or you could spend a fortune there. There’s a ton of bars with TV’s within walking distance too.

I went for the first game in 2021. All tickets have been previously distributed, so they are sold on the secondary market. I think we used Ticketmaster. We waited until game day and got 1B side in the club level for very reasonable prices (maybe $30-$40?). But I would assume LSU will bring fans, so demand may be more. I went with a buddy who is a MSU grad, and the second game tickets for MSU-Texas were a little more expensive.

We were there for about 36 hours and only watched baseball. We went to a brewery in the market area? within walking distance from the stadium, and the hamburger was really good. I would also suggest visiting “The Blatt,” which is a bar across the street and named after the old stadium. They have a second level outdoor, and you can almost see into the stadium. Can be crowded but fun to mingle with fans. I was lucky because my buddy’s cousin was a scout for the Brewers at the time, so we stayed close and within walking distance.

Cheapest tickets are $200 right now, should we wait until game day to grab some?
It's a big stadium, I gotta believe you can walk-up and get tickets from someone right before game time for a much better price............later in the week they will be tougher to come by but on Day 2, I would believe numerous seats will be empty

Each game is sold separately. I know demand will be higher this year because LSU travels better than UVA, and we were coming out of the pandemic in 2021.

My understanding though is that a vast majority, if not all, have already been sold or distributed to schools, and everything is a secondary market. I recall a story of a big group of Arkansas fans always buy early, and some go to Omaha regardless because they enjoy the trip.

Good luck!

Face is definitely above $10. I believe it's in the $40ish range for OF. Maybe it was $45-50 this year? I took my experience from 2021 and applied it to 2022 tickets and loaded up on OF seats for ONLY the 6pm games on Fri and Sat. Of course we didn't make it, so I sold on ticketmaster and did pretty solid on Tue and Wed. Auburn v Ole Miss was a profit but nothing great. I did better on Texas v Notre Dame. Two much larger fanbases.

Weather also plays a factor because a lot of the patrons are locals or those that just go to the Series every year because it's a great experience. It was HOT in 2021. Upper 90s. Tickets were very cheap for the 1pm games. One advantage of buying closer to weekend is if the forecast holds up and storms are in the area. Locals and general fans will be more apt to not go or deal with potential delays.

If you buy now, you're paying a premium. This is the worst day to buy tickets for the Series for Saturday games. Sunday/Monday was the worst for Friday games. Prices SHOULD start to ease a bit on Friday for Saturday games, but our game vs LSU will absolutely be the highest cost until the championship. Both of our fanbases are senile. If you pay $150+ per ticket now for the cheapest seats due to fear of missing out, you're feeding the premiums everyone will be paying.

If you're PLANNING on going and haven't made arrangements, yet, you're very late.

I missed the general ticket release this year so I'll be paying back some of my profits from last year. No chance I'm buying until Friday or my local friends find a ticket connection like they typically do.

Across the river in Council Bluff Iowa there is a huge casino that might be worth checking room prices.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn next to the Casino in 2021. Everything is booked now. It's not a bad drive to the ballpark maybe 3-4 miles. We drove back to the New Market area to eat.
