Best Tackle of the night IMO, someone needs to give Cody a 63 on this.

1. Run your route hard
2. Try and break coverage
3. Tackle guy who made interception!

Maybe not the 63 people had in mind...but hey...

No joke, quick move and nice wrap. Looked at his bio and his HS stats "Made 69 tackles on defense while picking off four interceptions " Are we using him best as a WR? Just sayin...

Love the Marvel reference Sgt Nick Fury. I'm a big comic book fan. Jim Starlin is my favorite Marvel writer, well maybe next to Lee & Kirby of course. Infinity Gauntlet and Warlock are some of my prized books. I even have Iron Man #55.

Cody was a great DB at Central; I was shocked when UT told him he would be used as a receiver.

We could use someone like him in secondary, wonder what their reasoning is. It's not like we have depth there already. Maybe we just were in more desperate need at WR....

It looks cool, but honestly not sure I am really happy with him going high so much....would like to see him wrap up more. When I think of the greats who were of a similar build like Leonard Little, he made guys eat more dirt, because he went low and wrapped up. AJ needs to get both paws on his prey. I do like that he grabs both shoulder pads here....but he often just does a one armed tag and misses target doing this..... On this play the back is smaller....but if this is a power large tight end or back, he could just as easily been deflected and brushed off...and or got a facemask called.

Aj has the potential to be one of our greats, he is very aware on the plays, often is able to break away from blockers, but he doesn't wrap up......he's gotta work on his take downs.... think how many plays he gets a "piece" of the ball carrier. AJ is excellent at getting to the target, but his take downs could be better. He's one of my favorite players....which is why I am picky.

I honestly like Cody's tackle above on the INT better...:p

Would give anything to hear Leonard Little has been added as an assistant coach.....he had one of the best tackling techniques I have seen. he wasn't as powerful as Wilson, but he was just pure Cat like on his take downs....Only better take downs I have seen is Lions taking down Gazelle on National Geographic.

Which is why on the above INT I noticed Cody it was near perfect....some people see the INT I just see the tackle...... :) Defense is my favorite part of the game.

That may be the worst half of football I've ever seen by both teams, I've seen pewee teams play better ball.
