On a scale of 1-10, with a 10 being the best, how much do you think Coach Jones meant it when he said "this is my dream job"?

Do you think this is really his dream job?

I think he probably has dreamed of coaching a team in a major conference, so I say 10.

10 for my dream job meaning a high profile job in the best conference.

1 for my dream job being Tennessee.

9. It was more his body language when he said it. I think he fell in love with this place his first time in Neyland in much the same way I did. That passion grows and grows. I don't think it was about the money. I don't care what your line of work is, you don't turn down a job hoping for a chance to get a job you want when you haven't even been contacted about the job. Butch Jones wants to be a Vol, and now he is. And I believe he's a VFL.

1) If he was completely lying, THEN GOOD! That's a lie Tennessee fans should be willing to hear. I never thought we'd be up in arms about a coach saying the Vols HC was his dream job.

2) 8. I think he had a Top Tier of dream jobs, like any coach. I think it likely that Tennessee was one of those nine or ten schools.

10! I'm gonna be straight up with you all.. I've lived in Alabama most of my life, and it would've been easy for me to be a bama fan.. But, Coach Jones knows the same thing I know.. THIS IS THE BEST JOB IN THE COUNTRY!!!

I think around a 4-6. Coaches will say that to get the fans on board, I think there is other jobs out there that he would also say is a dream job, but this is defenitly a job he could end his career at.m

Since he was born in Michigan ,here is my gut feeling about him. First choice ....Michigan......Second.....Michigan State......Third ....Tennessee. Just basing this on how I would probably feel if I was BJ and having been born in Michigan. If you will remember he spoke about the size of our stadium......well Michigan has a larger stadium than ours. I am not calling BJ a liar by any means.. Dream job or not, am thrilled with the hire. I believe he will turn our program around in a short time. Without a doubt I do sincerely feel it is one of his top 4 or 5 jobs. Close enough for me.

Have you ever been to the Big House? It doesn't hold a candle to Neyland Stadium. Sure, being from Michigan it might have been his first choice of dream jobs, but not from a facilities standpoint. We won't even get started on the weather either lol

Pretty sure it would have been EITHER Michigan or Michigan State, it's a love-hate kinda thing among Michiganders

this...I think him saying "dream job" was more directed at landing a job of UT stature, not necessarily UT, specifically. I seriously doubt a guy growing up in Michigan views UT their dream job or school. I would bet he grew up a Michigan, Mich. St. or OSU fan and would bolt in a heartbeat if one of those open up in the future and he is a candidate.

I've heard this a million times when a new coach addresses the fan base/media.....folks don't read into this statement too much.....only if you can see, feel, touch........press release is indeed just that

10. He has always dreamed of coaching a top ten program like UT. He said Dream Job, not dream school. Sort of different. He probably grew up a Michigan fan or something. But i believe when he says its an honor to be our head coach. He appreciates it, unlike Dooley and Kiffin.

I believe he meant that he wanted a high profile job such as hours. However, he did mention that he grew up watching Tennessee.

So I gave him an 8.

I think he's the real deal already. There's something about him that tells me he's a star in the making.

Well most college football fans/coaches did grow up watching Tennessee.
