On Jarnell Stokes...

Next years team will be very fun to watch. I can't wait to see Hubbs and how well Maymon bounces back.

Here's the thing. I'm willing to bet it'll take Maymon at least 5-10 games before he gets back into 'game mode' or 'game shape' or whatever you want to call it. You don't just take a year off and pick up where you left off.

If that happens, this fan base will explode and lose faith even faster than they did this year. When we're 6-4 or 7-3, people will call for CCM's head, even when every sign points to massive improvement over the course of the season.

That is my fear.

Not having maymon is making Stokes better in the long run because every game he is going up against double teams.

He supposedly is going to start practicing very soon, plus summer workouts, plus RTL, and then their exhibition games. I think he'll be good to go by the start of the season. Remember we typically open with 3-4 cupcakes to start the season.

I certainly hope you're right. I'd hate to lose a few important games waiting for him to get his game back.

The great thing is the inmates don't run asylum!! Hart is smart man and wants CCM to make it. Will give him plenty of rope.

Oh absolutely. You'd think that fans would too after the way he took a team with almost nothing to a 10-6 SEC record and a 2-seed in the SEC tourney.

But I guess for some people, people who don't know basketball, it's as simple as "Did you make the tournament? No? Okay, see ya."

He shouldn't be fired but if you don't make the tournament, it's not a successful season.

For this season, yes. Not making the tournament would be a disappointment, and we appear headed that way. However, that doesn't apply to every single season, in my opinion.

Someone just called into the Locker Room show and suggested we move Stokes to the 2 spot. :ermm:

What's sad is, Kenny was a very highly-rated player coming into UT. It's a shame we may start playing 4 guards over a kid like that.
