Blacksburg - Hampton High linebacker Tyrel Wilson committed Thursday to Virginia Tech, according to Hampton coach Mike Smith.
Wilson, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound senior, is the 14th commitment for Tech's 2009 football recruiting class. He turned down a scholarship offer from Tennessee, where his father played, to accept one from Tech.
