On to Kentucky....

I surprisingly got over this Alabama loss really quickly. Idk if it’s just I’m getting older and care less, or just used to losing to them, or whatever the reason. But that loss didn’t linger for me
It did me… l live in BAMA (about an hour north of Tuscaloosa and watched the game with a bunch of Bammer fans). I hate it, and still hate it…

Kentucky is a HUGE game for Heupel's approval rating. The Florida loss hurt, the Bama loss hurt, but a loss to Kentucky has always hit really hard.

For me it was the way it played out in the second half. In years past they would just blast us straight up for 4 quarters and it was clear we didn't have the athletes or the coaching to match them. Now we finally have the coaching and while we're still a little short on athletes, we matched up well with them. This one stung, way more than Florida.
This may be a generational difference but the Florida loss is always the worst one of the season for me.

Absolutley. I can handle getting beat by a better team. Florida was a bad loss.

If we had beat Florida, I'm pretty sure most of us would still be feeling great about the season.

Don't get me wrong, we can still have a good season, but there's a lot less enthusiasm now, at least for me.

I so feel that. I'm old enough to remember when the SEC East, and thus the SEC Championship and more often than not the the National Championship was decided by that game. I used to love watching Spurrier kick that stupid visor down the sideline when his Gators were losing. The visor still looks stupid now that Kirby Smart and Lane Kiffen are wearing it, btw.

Tennessee should be able to shut down Kentucky's running game early. Kentucky will have to start throwing it deep in the second quarter. I look for Tennessee's secondary to pick off at least two passes in the game.

I’ll be scared of Kentucky when I have a reason to be, right now I’m not. The last time they beat us JG was throwing passes that were easy to pick off and that buried us in that game.

I keep wondering lately about one thing on the UK game... can our offense score enough points if our defense allows transfer qb Devin Leary become Graham Mertz for this game
