This wouldn't benefit UK, it would benefit other programs, those guys wouldn't sit behind the Soph. stars UK has. Regardless, this isn't happening.

You are right, cause Daniel Orten was sooo impressive in the single digit minutes he played... lol

They would have Matt Cassell type players get drafted bi-annually

Marginal improvement of a rule that makes a mockery of the idea of "student athletes".

If these kids are truly good enough to go to the NBA out of high school then let them go. Otherwise, basketball needs the same rule in place for college baseball. Once you enroll you are there at least until the end of your Junior season in school.

Absolutively, who the hell should have the power to deny a kid signing a million dollar contract. It is unconscionable. Let any player at any time go out for the NBA and if he gets signed fine if not he should be able to return to college and get more experience. No one should be inelgible for college if he has not signed a pro contract and been payed money.
The rules are made to protect the NAZI ncaa and the colleges instead of the athletes.

I must have missed that part. That would cut down on some of Kentucky's 5* recruits then. Some of the guys they recruit are only going there for a year because they can't go pro. Would make it less dramatic than I was making it out to be. The thought of Kentucky getting four 5* players for a second season and adding four more 5*'s was mind blowing.

You got to wonder what ol Cal is doing to sign all these players.

I think the best thing for parity would be letting kids go straight highschool->league, but if they go to college they have to stay 2-3.

You need to change your thinking. Who the hell are you to tell a kid what he has to do with his profession. Again any kid who wants to declare for the pros who doesn't get a contract should be able to go back to college. Why the hell do we have rules limiting peoples careers. It the most immoral selfish crap that I have ever seen.

These rules are SO STUPID!! It should be either to let the HS players go straight to the NBA or make them stay in college all 4 years. There is absolutely ZERO justification for any other option.

So what you are saying is that if a kid coming out of high school is not quite good enough to go pro he should lose not one but four years earnings in the pros. Yeah that makes loads of sense except for the kid who loses millions of dollars. Lets see 5 million a year for the extra three years is 15 million dollars he has lost. I simply do not see any justification for this.

I'm not in favor of making the kids go to school at all. It's utterly despicable. They should be able to go to the NBA anytime they want whether it's out of HS or at any point in their collegiate careers.
