Online College - Worth it?

27 years old. Retail manager with a wife and baby. Want to further my career with current company or somewhere else. I hear a lot of horror stories about online college and there degrees being taken seriously. I would obviously try to get a business admin (I know that it's the most general degree out there)

Just wondering if it's even worth it. Actually college setting is out of the question for me but has anyone done online college?

The source of the degree is mostly what matters. You can get an online degree from just about anywhere now.

I also would consider if the learning style is conducive to success for you. I took probably 12 online courses (mostly business) to get through college, and it's a different animal than classroom learning. Some are better at it, and some can't even do it.

Also, a management degree is awesome. Don't poopoo it. It is general and somewhat easy, but it's also very useful. One of the best bachelor degrees you can get. I did Econ, but no matter what I would say always do something from the business school unless you want a specific career in science, medicine, etc.

I say go for it.
