Only Dave Hart....

I'm not sure anymore. I thought the silence over past two weeks was good but after yesterday I wonder what's been going on. If Gruden was a "fantasy" which I don't believe then why did it take two weeks to find that out? That statement seemed to be a shot at UTAD. it was too demeaning to be taken on face value.

:hi: Hart's strategy of keeping things close to the vest is the proper course of action. Gruden was interested in the job , the salary he wanted for his staff was the deal breaker according to media reports(TFP). The fantasy comment came from JG's agent ,I would like to believe Gruden wouldn't say such a thing.

Hart is going to hire Al Golden with a $20 million buyout. Then when he gets fired by the Haslams, he will be welcomed back to Bama with open arms, as his part in securing UT as a cellar dweller for decades to come will be complete.

Bama has been after UT since we turned them in over Albert Means

Could this be their revenge?

We may never know the truth

.....knows what is really going on with this HC search. The sheer fact that all of these supposed leaks/rumors/potential "deals" behind the scenes are making a mockery of the University of Tennessee. I think many fans believe the sky is falling. Lets face it, Gruden would have been a rock star hire in just name alone. We as fans dont know if he could really win in the SEC. I think there is a chance that a HR hire could come out of this. Hart has been to this dance before, and has turned programs around as far as hires are concerned. I think the fan base needs to be patient and not bash the man until we see our new HC at the podium in a couple of weeks.

Stop the Logic. it hurts my brain to process it

Oh no, not another of the many examples of the revenge of Albert means....hide the kiddies, bar your doors and windows, light the torches and march on Memphis b4 it is too late for UT.....

The problem with the fanbase being so blind to the process and dis-engaged, is that we are the ones actually PAYING for the product they put out, and we have to suffer through years of incompetence if they suck it up, Mike Hamilton style.

Some media leakage would at least give the AD the ability to gauge the temperature of the fanbase. To some degree, that happened the last time around. It was widely leaked that in fact Cutcliffe was named the HC. There was immediate and hostile pushback. The boards and talk shows blew up with disgust.

Cutcliffe pulled his name within 24hrs after that. Problem is, we never got the chance to voice approval or displeaser over Dooley. Hamilton just picked him over better qualified prospects, like Sumlin...and basically forced us to "deal with it" for years.

No way man without Gruden we're doomed to at least 15 more years of irrelevance. Fire Hart we need a Tennessee guy.

Really? Fire Hart?
Dave Hart is one of the best if not the best AD in the country!
These knee jerk reactions that you and many others speak of has gotten us where?
