How about you don't play games at gimmick locations unless they are suited for it?

Its pretty pathetic that Gameday is going to be there anyway. I hope that disastrous, gimmick of a production fails miserably for everyone at the World Wide Leader.

You guessed, I think they should be elsewhere this weekend.

thats really dumb. what if a guy picks one off and starts to run the other way? do they automatically not get a chance for a pick 6?

You can score in RF on a turnover, they just aren't going to run offensive series in that direction.

Heard this discussed on Dan Patrick this morning and apparently some of the reconfigurations of the ballpark over time are the culprit of this. They are not using the same layout the Bears used for the field.

The Bears played from first base to left field. I think since then the Cubs have added more seating on the first base foul territory which made that layout less than 120 yds. Apparently 3rd base to right field is just barely 120 yds. Stupid decision to have it there. For the past 20 years all the multisport fields have been phased out with only a few exceptions (Oakland, Miami). Why now the sudden interest in trying to play football on a baseball field?

He is a novel idea, play baseball games in baseball stadiums and football games in football stadiums. Shocking I know.

lol..who is going to sit in that section that is 40-50 yards away from the field? the whole thing only seats about 40,000. Good call!

So Herbie is gonna be there in the morning, and then catch a flight to College Station that night? Seems like a waste. Im still bitter in case you couldnt tell.

there are plenty, it is being played at wrigley as a novelty to attract fans and viewers... and it has done just that. There is no other way in the world ESPN Gameday is at Illinois/Northwestern if its not played at Wrigley Field.

It was a good PR move, that will stay pay off in the end... that fact is, people are talking about a game they ordinarily would not be.

From what I understand only the offenses will play in one endzone, if a pick six happens I believe they can still return it to the other endzone.
