You can find some pretty good grub at some of the roach coaches.

I've become a conniseur(sp?) of chuck wagons do to the nature of my job. I've found more to be surprisingly good as opposed to awful, though getting a decent cup of coffee off of one is as likely as OE getting John the Baptist's head delivered to him via FedEx.

Bill Richardson deploys national guard to the border.

(Sorry about the erronious report that the rancher killed was from Texas, he lived in south east Arizona, I gleaned that from a media outlet in Colo while following Tancedo's statement, it seems the media is increasingly lax about doing it's fact checking. Evidently Trancedo knew Krentz personally.)

Robert Krentz, 58, was shot and killed on Saturday while he worked on his remote ranch west of the New Mexico state line. No one has been arrested, but the trail of a suspect led authorities to the Mexican border.
---------------------------------

The New Mexico Bootheel and the adjacent southeastern Arizona area have reportedly seen a spike in recent months in immigrant-related crime, including vandalism and home break-ins.

---------------------------------
Kuenstler, who ran the Border Patrol's Lordsburg station until retiring in 1997, said he thinks the agency needs to shift how it monitors for undocumented immigrant traffic in rural regions. Now, he said, agents work too far from the border.

"If you wait for them to come 30 miles up, how many ranches have they come through?" he asked. "If you're stationed 10 miles from the border, what about that rancher that has a ranch within 10 miles?"

I think most people understand what an utter POS Bill Richardson is but he had recently promised more border patrol and state trooper assignments in the troubled area.

In a discussion from a blog discussing the Krentz murder, a poster I have no reason to doubt said that after Richardson made his earlier promise, she and her husband who live in El Paso, Tex had driven all the way to Ariz and back and didn't see the first state trooper and only about half the border patrols as would be usual.

Particularly troubling are the increasing number of discarded muslim prayer rugs found abandoned in some to these illegal crossing corridors.

Thinking in a global sense, while we are tied up in Afghanistan, a classic flanking move is being made.

Twenty years ago we gave amnesty to 2 million illegal immigrants and were told that would end the problem.

Now we have something like 20 million illegal immigrants, is amnesty the best solution??

You wouldn't happen to have a source for this would you?

You don't want the truth, you only want to discredit me.

There are sources too numerous to deny the claim.

Seatle Times.

It is more dangerous and pernicious, she said, with a growing number of people of different nationalities coming across the border, including from the Middle East, India and Afghanistan.

The evidence of that comes in Islamic prayer rugs found in the desert dust, Arabic literature left by still-warm campfires and Afghani head garb caught on cactus quills.

Tod Bensman.

This isn't something that jumped up and started recently.

Court records say Kourani was a ranking Hezbollah insider in Lebanon who had received “specialized training in radical Shiite fundamentalism, weaponry, spy craft and counterintelligence in Lebanon and Iran. The government described one of his brothers as “Hezbollah's Chief of Military Security for Southern Lebanon.”

But Kourani holds a rarely acknowledged distinction: He is one of only a handful of Middle Easterners smuggled over U.S. borders to have been convicted of terrorism charges in American courts.
-------------------------------

Kourani got into Mexico during the height of this Al Qaeda campaign, in February 2001, by paying a $3,000 bribe to an official in the Mexican consulate in Beirut, court records show. Then, on Feb. 4, 2001, a now-shuttered Tijuana-based smuggling ring that had moved hundreds of other Lebanese nationals drove him over in the trunk of a car.
-------------------------------------

Kourani is not the only convicted Hezbollah terrorist smuggled from Latin America. Three of nine Charlotte, N.C. Lebanese nationals convicted in 2005 of operating a multi-million dollar cigarette smuggling operation for Hezbollah were smuggled by air into the country from Venezuela on bogus passports, according to the FBI.

According to unearthed intelligence reports, court records, interviews with federal agents and a variety of open sources, other border jumpers that can be publicly tied to terrorism since Al-Qaeda began its international bombing campaign against American targets in the mid-1990s are:

(read the list and anyone wanting to get a better picture of what is actually going on should read that whole link)

She said the document was a Border Patrol report about meetings in Spain between members of Al Qaeda and a Columbia guerilla group. A topic of discussion at the meeting, Kephart said, was the use of Mexican Islamist converts to infiltrate the U.S. across the southwest border.

“If you want to conduct another operation after 9-11 you don't want people to know who you are,” she said. “And the best way to be anonymous is to come across the border.”

Tucson Weely.

As I've reported previously in these pages, we know Arabs are coming, from the discovery of three prayer rugs near Douglas and an Arabic diary inside a backpack in Hereford. In 2004, a rancher west of Fort Huachuca answered his door to greet a female illegal wanting to use the phone. The call was to Libya.

Additional reading on latin american islamist terrorist groups.

The Iranian-backed Hezbollah militia has taken root in South America, fostering a well-financed force of Islamist radicals boiling with hatred for the United States and ready to die to prove it, according to militia members, U.S. officials and police agencies across the continent.

That's just for starters, I have more material if you want to know more.

Watch out for what's in your hot sauce.

When I first read 'tragedy and hope' I had quite a bit of doubt about one prediction of the near future and that was the claim that three power blocks would emerge, the communist (socialist) block, the so-called free world and the third would be a coalition of arabic and spanish speaking factors.

I thought that would never happen because of the history of agression against spanish speaking people by arabic speaking armies of islam.
