Was Dye shooting any 3s? What position was she working at?

How did all of the new additions look shooting the ball, intermediate and from 3?

Thanks!
Yes, Dye shot several threes. Whenever they broke up guards and posts, Dye was always with the guard group. She is very athletic with a high motor. Honestly, she was the only other one that looked to be close to Burrell’s level, IMO. Will be a huge factor for us this season.

Thank you, just a simple observation. She seems like a great kid just wasn’t impressed with her today. I honestly was a little underwhelmed in general. They seem to be missing the toughness factor with the exception of Jordan walker. She is tough. Rae and Dye generally are too. Lack of toughness was exactly why we lost the Michigan game last year. Hoping we will improve in that before the start of the season. We need some Alicia Manning/Glory Johnson/Bashara Graves attitudes. Still very excited for the season!
I just don’t see it like you do. I saw all players being tough. Actually, I think Emily looked really good. She is more flexible, boxing out well, passing back door, and has a paint “jumper” that’s good.

I didn't see anyone that I thought was unimpressive to the point that they want be able to help the team this season. Actually everyone that is returning looks far better than last year. That meaning Horston, Key, Walker, and Darby. Dye looks like she could be a huge factor for us. Puckett and Wynn looked to be able to defend at a high level. If I picked a starting five at this point would be Key, Dye, Burrell, Horston, and Walker. Possible that Green gets the start and that would make one of the five I mentioned the sixth man. Think Puckett, Wynn, and Darby may see several minutes off the bench. That leaves Striplin, Miles, Saunders, and Rennie to see if they can work to get in the rotation.
I agree with your starting lineup.

That's awesome. Thanks for the report.

If she has to be respected out there, she can play the 2-4 positions and thus becomes very dangerous.

playing in the olympics is not just a summer league, for many a once in a lifetime accomplishment. and she may have paid the price re recovering.

And the FIBA U19 World Cup isn't the Olympics. It also isn't the first time she has represented her country in international competition...

Seeing how she struggled with foot injuries as a freshman, maybe playing international ball this summer wasn't the wisest decision...

If she can't play in the summer without injuring her foot again, what makes you think she could play in the SEC this fall/winter without injuring her foot?
