Here's a novel idea, don't break the law and you'll be fine. Crazy I know
I drive the REAL speed limit: the informally established “going rate” for what people are driving. I don’t go faster than this, and I don’t go slower than this. Faster gets a ticket, and slower creates dangerous driving conditions for others.

See “fat dumb and happy in the left lane with cruise control set to the posted speed limit.” These clowns help create dangerous driving conditions for others with exasperated drivers passing on the right.

Ive been driving for 17 years now, ive gotten zero tickets. I drive the speed limit, use blinkers, dont weave in and out trying to pass everyone. I try to respect the fact that others are around me, children, mothers and fathers, and i see no reason to put anyones safety at risk just because i may want to go faster. But anyways, i find his statement true. Dont give them a reason to pull you over and you will probably not get pulled over.

I could be the safest driver out there and these revenue rats can still legally pull me over for tinted windows, a busted tag light and no seat belt. And really, a busted headlight or taillight isn't really that big of a safety issue as long as the lights on the other side work.
Then, once that stop is made, they can now violate your 4th Amendment rights and go on a fishing expedition looking for reefer or guns, which are supposed to be protected by the 2nd Amendment. "Where are you going?" or any of these other fishing type questions are ways for them to circumvent your 5th Amendment rights. And if they get frisky, they can just pull you out of your car and do a cavity search on the side of the road, violating your 4th and 8th Amendment rights. After they arrest you, you vehicle and any excessive amount of cash you may have on you at the time can be seized under civil asset forfeiture, which are 4th and 5th Amendment violations.

All of this over tinted windows and a tag light.

Then don't tint your windows, or drive around with a busted tag light! Duh!😁

I actually got pulled over once for "a busted tail light". They did like you said, searched the car, then me. Guy asked me to empty my pockets, and when i stuck my hands in my pocket he pulled his gun on me. He said "you can't be reaching!", and I asked how he expected me to empty my pockets😄

I bet you go to bed at 8pm, and get up early for the PTA meetings.
He obeys the law and follows orders. On the surface, that seems noble.

But my issue/concern with people like this is that they have zero understanding of the distinction between justice and the law. There are plenty of unjust laws on the books that should not be followed.

Let me clarify, of course its possible to get pulled over for some dumb reason even if you do the speed limit and such. What im saying is if you just follow basic driving laws and dont drive your car around with headlights hanging out or whatever, youre very likely to not be troubled. You are using this extreme example of being pulled over and cavity searched over simple traffic violations, which is far from reality. Its like the argument from the pro abortion crowd regarding rape, which is less than 1% of all abortions.
Thats basically what your extreme scenario is, some tiny unrealistic percentage that you try to make seem even somewhat normal because you have disdain for law enforcement. Its really quite simple to just follow basic traffic laws and keep your car in decent shape.

Lol so from a post i made saying following basic traffic laws is good and will prevent being hassled with traffic violations, you have somehow learned that i have zero understanding of the difference between justice and the law, and even expanded on that to other laws on the books which shouldnt be followed. Just so you know, you cant realistically and logically gather this from the post i made. You sound foolish.

I am a criminal defense attorney and drive the interstate every morning on my commute. The driving in this day and age has gotten bad. I don’t have time to get pulled over. I sit on the speed limit or a few over and try to find open spaces. I think it’s a lack of education. People just aren’t taught how to drive and respect others anymore.

One of my pet peeves is on road trips when there is a car that sits in the left lane. Somehow, people don’t understand that left is for passing.

It’s hard to have a civilized society when everyone believes in their own set of laws.

I clearly stated "But my issue/concern with people like this". I didn't specifically say you. Just some people like you.

This doesn’t exist on any highway or interstate I drive on. There’s at minimum a 10 mph difference between all drivers, typically closer to 20. The REAL speed limit is what’s posted. That’s law. I drive about 5 over in a 60 and get lapped by people and zoom past people. Sometimes simultaneously.

They will have to wake up a judge before any of that happens.

The entire state of Virginia is it seems. When I come down 81 I set the cruise at 70 and take my time, they're pretty dang aggressive in the mountains
Are they enforcing the stay out of the left lane unless passing or overtaking law?

I think I read a while back that they were going to start ticketing left lane bandits.

There’s too much trucker traffic on 81 to enforce that imo. They clearly aren’t enforcing it on 95 or the VA part of the DC beltway
