Maybe he should practice better and show the staff he really is willing to work to earn playing time. If he is unwilling to do that, we may reconsider how badly we NEED him. The street runs both ways.It wasn’t speculation. It came for AP saying Pearce wasn’t happy with his lack of playing time and was considering entering the portal.
Exactly.. having fresh bodies that can rotate without dropoff is huge. Takes a lot of energy to get after the QB
Only 2 of our commits project as EDGE in our defense.I totally agree with what you said. I was just curious given we already have 3 edge guys committed, is 4th edge a bigger need position from traditional recruiting or some other places like inside LB or high profile RB ?
Now as far as portal is concerned, I would love to land an instant impact Edge that can replace Byron Young. I dont think James Pearce or Josh Joseph are there yet. Not sure if Tyler Baron is staying or leaving for NFL but he can play there some.
If he stays, and I hope he does, he still needs to practice better and show the staff he is willing to work to earn playing time. He still needs to show the coaches How badly we need him. That is what the game is about If you want to win Championships.Darn man, no one even knows if it's true or not and you're ready to punish him and bid adieu..
He literally has 0 football-related reasons to leave. He played important snaps and made big plays in yr 1. He's paired with an elite tandem of Josephs for the future. He sat behind Baron, Harrison, and Young. 2/3 might be gone next year and of the 2 that might return, neither are the same type of talent. He and Josephs can have breakout years next year, and life is easier when you aren't getting double teamed.Pearce is most likely staying I think. Anytime a high profile recruit doesn’t play right away, people start to speculate
