Clemson owned Nashville and AL poached Memphis and Nashville of all the top talent while our program was lost in the desert. Don't blame the players for not going to TN. They wanted to play for championships and both those schools offered that. All should change now.

Yup. Losing Brooks was arguably far worse than losing Fulmer, sorry to say.

During Fulmer's heyday his staff was second to none. The proof in PF's or anyone else's abilities as HC is experience a high level of success and once those assistants move on and up the success continues or not. Not many can do it or did it. Broyles at Arkansas, Royal at Texas, Saban and Bryant at Bama, Osborne and Devaney at Nebraska, Woody at OSU, McKay at USC. Not many around these days in college football. Smart is throwing his hat in the ring, but he ain't done it yet, after all Butch Jones is 1-0 against him and he's riding a streak about like Swinney had, time will tell on him.

Tahj Boyd was the beginning. Committed to TN until Kiffin said "No Thanks". They began to get players that TN would normally have taken. Amari Rodgers, Tee Higgins, Trevor Lawrence, etc...just a few who likely would've been Vols if TN wasn't sucking.
