Who all has said they are coming?

Updated 6/15/16

Eris Crosby DT 4* (commit) Jordan Williams not coming
per 247 article "“I think me and Jordan are coming down for the Orange Carpet Day,” Crosby said."

Tee Higgins WR 4/5*
247— Five-star wide receiver Tee Higgins of Oak Ridge (Tenn.) High School stopped by Tennessee State to watch Sunday’s camp while he was in the area for some ACT preparation this week following a trip to Memphis, Tenn., with his mother. It was another encouraging sign for the Vols, who remain at the top of Higgins’ list after he released his top five choices in order last week. He had good things to say about Tennessee after the camp, and he said he’s planning to visit the Vols again June 18 for their “Orange Carpet Day.”

Maleik Gray DB 4* (commit)
247 - Gray hasn’t been back to Tennessee’s campus since making a brief stop in Knoxville more than two months ago, but he said he’s planning to return there June 18 for the Vols’ Orange Carpet Day.

LaTrell Bumphus TE/DE 3*
247 - Three-star defensive end LaTrell Bumphus also was in attendance, but he didn't participate after working out as a tight end during Tennessee's camp Sunday in Nashville. He said he's planning to visit the Vols again next weekend for Orange Carpet Day, and he admitted he could be getting a bit closer to making a decision

I'm hoping the Orange Carpet Day gets the ball rolling on some of our top level recruits. These have been in the past so I'm hoping we get some of the peer recruiters that have been so effective in the recruiting process the most recent classes.

Would definitely be nice to get the ball rolling with a big time in state recruit or two.

I'd bet Butch will release at least 2 commits following Orange Carpet. He's always had commitments around large events.

I expect it to happen. If it doesn't then something funny is going on in KTown.

For the hell of it I put the following players in the class 247 calculator.

RB- Chandler
RB- Hayden
WR- Fant
WR- Higgins
WR- Bumphus
OL- Smith
DL - Gaddy
DL - Williams
LB - Foster
DB - Gibbs
DB - Gray

These would give us 21 commits and have us right at #10 in the country on last years final standings (without all the bumps we will get and others).

I think we will still have right around a 5-8th ranked class in the end.

That would work. I was thinking around 10th or 11th depending how Florida and Auburn Finish.

TN is about to rack up
Barton Simmons:
Tennessee's pickup of Maleik Gray over the weekend was huge not just because Gray is a Top100 prospect with 4.5 speed but also because of the momentum it generates for the Vols for in-state recruiting. I'm hearing that Tennessee could be poised to land multiple other in-state prospects in the coming days.

Princeton Fant has long been considered a Tennessee lean and the Lavergne High School receiver may be close to finally popping after his close friend and teammate beat him to the punch over the weekend. My Crystal Ball remains Tennessee for Fant.

Tennessee was the first major program to offer Theo Jackson and I expect that to pay off in the near future. The Vols have been trending steadily up for the long defensive back and I've made my Crystal Ball pick for Jackson to Tennessee and think it could happen soon.

Tennessee has also made Savannah (Tenn.) Hardin County two-way player Latrell Bumphus a priority and I think that is going to pay off in the near future as well. I've made my Crystal Ball prediction for Bumphus to Tennessee.

While Tennessee has always been considered a leader for the guys above, Nashville's Ty Chandler out of MBA hasn't always presented the same kind of confidence. I made an initial Crystal Ball pick for Chandler to follow his father to Ole Miss in August of 2014, not quite two years later, I've changed my prediction for Chandler, picking him to Tennessee. I don't think Tennessee is out of the woods on that one yet and I've heard Georgia and Auburn both are in good shape as well but the arrow is pointing firmly in the 'up' position next to Tennessee with the U.S. Army All-American Bowl running back.

Grey has became my favorite recruit this cycle....at least until he convinces a 5-Star to come to UT with him. Lol
