Orange helmets!

They re-proportioned it. Top used to be bigger than the bottom from a scale perspective.

Oh. I know it used to seem huge. Helmet design has changed, so I thought it might be an illusion.

And that doesn’t bother me at all, but some people(OCD maybe) are really bothered by the difference.

I'm OCD. But I work for a music media company so I'm used to the disappointment.

Its honestly probably an issue with the different materials that causes the mismatch even though they're the exact same pigments.

Pretty much. I remember the baseball team took a lot of tries to get orange batting helmets and the first ones they had were way too dark and now it finally looks pretty close.

I remember watching a game with Texas this past season and they had orange batting helmets and they were WAY off.

No they changed it I think when Dooley was here. Helmet design definitely complicates it because they aren't smooth anymore.

The Smokey grays and blacks are undefeated this year. Orange will do the same.

Traditional
Storm trooper
Dark mode
White x white x orange helmet
Smokey grey
Orange x orange x white helmet

I think I'd like to see all orange, if the helmet is a good match for the fabric. If they're different, then don't do it.

Somehow North Carolina got it right, their unis always match perfectly.

This all day long. On one the surface is glossy and on the other the surface is lusterless or semi flat. The light reflects off the colors in dramatically different ways.
