Its honestly probably an issue with the different materials that causes the mismatch even though they're the exact same pigments.

Pretty much. I remember the baseball team took a lot of tries to get orange batting helmets and the first ones they had were way too dark and now it finally looks pretty close.

I remember watching a game with Texas this past season and they had orange batting helmets and they were WAY off.

I love the white on white road uniforms! Even better without the stripes. Just an orange T on the thigh

And that doesn’t bother me at all, but some people(OCD maybe) are really bothered by the difference.🤪

If it's close enough I don't mind but if it's way off it bothers me lol. Like Texas' batting helmets:

What the heck is that shade of orange? It's certainly not the same as their normal shade:

Somehow North Carolina got it right, their unis always match perfectly.🤷‍♂️

This all day long. On one the surface is glossy and on the other the surface is lusterless or semi flat. The light reflects off the colors in dramatically different ways.
