Orange out Lipscomb Academy tonight. Little birdy told me Saban and Heupel will be in the house. Show up and show out Big Orange, this is our town and State. Prospects all over the field. I'm sure many other coaches and staffs will be present.

From what I see we have three committs playing:
Jonathan Echols, ATH, IMG
Kaleb Beasley, CB, Lipscomb
Edwin Spillman, LB, Lipscomb

Also a highly coveted 2024 prospect in Jordan Seaton, IOL, IMG.

On top of that plenty of other prospects for both teams in the 2025 class.
This is a good opportunity for the fanbase to show out and make a good impression on these recruits!

See this is what southern hospitality is all about. I’ve been a UT fan since I was 10 (long story) and I’ve been to a UT/ND game in South Bend. Stopped at Neyland on the way to my Honeymoon (wife is fan now also), and stopped on road trip for a day for spring scrimmage with my kids but it got canceled from a thunderstorm.
but I’ve never been to a UT game at Neyland. And I’ve told my wife “no joke I bet people from the message board would HOST us people in Tennessee are so great.” We vacationed in Tennessee and she thinks it’s beautiful. I want to retire there.

How could Heupel not be there and those two are? Kinda crazy.

Only watched the 4th quarter when the game was out of hand, but I thought Edwin Spillman's speed really popped on camera. He will be a dangeroud blitzer up the middle for sure. Also, thought he demonstrated good instincts and showcased well considering the game was out of hand and his DLine was outmanned. I didn't closely watch Kaleb Beasley, but I did notice one really nice pass break up. Didn't see Echols, but maybe he was out by the 4th quarter.

On another note, I was fairly impressed with Lipscomb's QB. I noticed he was a high 4* junior. With his ability to run and throw a good spiral, he could be extremely productive in Huepel's offense. But right now he is trending toward Notre Dame. Why play for a defensive coach at ND? I know we have Nico, and also Merklinger this recruiting class. But I think we should push hard to get him. He could be special in our offense.

EDIT: Noticed, Lipscomb's QB Duece Knight was crystal balled to Nortre Dame, but not actually committed.

I think non-Midwestern Notre Dame commits have an older family member pushing them in that direction.

Their exclusive NBC deal has been a lifeline for their recruiting, but they have a chance to test the market in 2024. They plan to triple their annual payday, which only covers home games. ND getting $75 mil per year when they average 2mil viewers per game (half the average rating for BigTen games) is stupid, but networks are consistently stupid about the Irish.

Whether it is their rank or relevance.

Said it before. HS football in the state of TN has really improved over the last 20 years. From 2-3 guys who were legit D1 guys to us legitimately wanting the top 10 in the state is a great thing, but it's still several steps behind GA, CA, TX, FL when it comes to HS football. Just a different level of play.
