Not with a whole month to get ready for them first

This is what is the separation of Saban and other coaches. Most teams with that much space between games is rusty and heavily penalized with false starts and such except Saban. His boys are ready and his scheme to shut down an offense is undeniable.

That's true, but it's a different tale with Oregon. Depth and conditioning are the key with them, and trying to match that pace and intensity on six days work in the middle of the season is one of the tallest tasks in college football. They deliberately play undersized offensive linemen, so they can get up the field and snap the ball in seconds. They've been beating d-lines that should outmatch them for years.

Oregon's greatest strength under Chip Kelly is also the reason they probably won't win a bcsmnc; give any decent front 7 a month plus to prepare for them, and it's easy to cut the point total in half.

yeah and they didn't score again.

Yup, really indicative of how good this team is, too... I mean, they were really trying to put-up points with all of six passing attempts from 11:25 left in the 2nd quarter. Three attempts for the entire 2nd-half.

They scored 43 in 18 minutes. They could have scored 100 if they wanted.

But atleast 2 of those tds were scored off of turnovers, they probably wouldnt have gotten those breaks through the whole game. Part of the reason I only said 70. There's been at least 3 games this year where they could have scored 100 though

they have definitely had an oppurtunistic defense, but i just cant see them having a D that could contain bamas run game when none of the SEC defenses have so far this season

Lol....what good defense has Bama played? They haven't played anyone yet. Their best games will be LSU, A&M, Moo state. Possibly an SEC championship game. Two years in a row Bama has an easy road.

LSU, Bama, Florida, and USC's defenses don't extend to all other 10 teams brah.

They don't DELIBERATELY play with undersized O lineman. They've made a huge effort trying to get bigger on both sides of the line. Oregon is bigger and at the same time still quick to run their offense. They will be even bigger next year after graduating a couple guys. The guys behind the seniors are getting a lot of reps to be prepared for next year. Recruiting has gotten better, with the coaching staff in place the team is going to get better and will be able to hold their own against the elite of the elite.

Ducks aren't going away that's for sure.
