Oregon players conduct

The fact that Peterson got over there as soon as it happened shows you that the guy was trying to start something, not an excuse for Blount but I think the Boise player ought to be punished as well.

Blount said basically the same thing May 3, July 24 and Aug 15.
Retaliaton works both ways.
Should Blount talk a bunch of crap, fail to back it up and think he is just going to stroll out of the stadium unscathed?

Ahhh... so you're saying that Blount deserved to get an ear full after the game? If so, that's fair enough.

The play on the field and the outcome of the game is supposed to take care of any trash talking. Remember the weeks leading up to the UT-Florida games under Spurrier? It was nothing but back-and-forth words; however, I've never witnessed anything remotely close than what I witnessed tonight.

Like I said, I'm not defending him. Boise beat them up and down the field. That should have been enough. Blount's actions after the game should surprise no one. In any event, he's gonna pay -- whether it be multiple games or his career at Oregon. :salute:

The thing we all don't know here is what the boise st player said to him. Was it "We kicked your a**, or you su**", or was it, "hey man good game"? But regardless, it should never come to throwing a punch!!!

Hey i agree about the other guy having some responsibility here. he basically pulled a Bill Laimbeer out there tonight.
Just remember Karma will work things out and deal out punishment for him as well. I mean look at Laimbeer, coaching in the WNBA is punishment enough.

I could almost...ALMOST...overlook the punch to the face, but the fact that he then ran farther and faster than he did during the entire game away from the Boise players while wearing a helmet...

Meh.

He had like 8 carries for -5 yards and was tackled for a safety. He talked trash all week about owing the Broncos a "a$$ whooping" for last year.

Poor performance + trash talk the week leading up to the game = short fuse

And then he goes all Ron Artest on everyone and is literally screaming at and shoving a police officer.

Straight up:

Boise dude made a choice and got his ass knocked out for making said choice.

I bet he'll think twice about running his mouth again.

End of story.
Yeah, I'm just enraged that Spanky Sitaround from Boise got his arse dropped. They now get to play the martyr the rest of the season, since their schedule consists of teams consisting of the infirm, the illiterate, and the incompetent. They have, in this alleged great run, beaten one real football team. That happened because DJ Wolfe is arguably the stupidest person to ever draw breath.

See the edgy crew got here a bit late...

You had one idiot sucker punch a guy who was talking a little trash... he's lucky the half dozen Boise State players around him had the sense to let it go.

He didn't kick the guy's ass, he sucker punched him in the jaw. And if every time a player took it on himself to swing at someone who was talking trash, then every play would turn into a brawl.

Now I understand everyone here is an incredible badass who eats punks for breakfast, but if your solution to catching static is to automatically punch a guy in the face... good luck with that. If that is me or you, we aren't going off to "the locker room"... we're getting booked for assault.

Straight Up:

Blount got held to -5 yards rushing, and watch him team get completely humiliated by a team they though they were going to whip.

Rather than take it like a man, he acted like a baby...

espn announcer:
"Blount and the Boise State player exchange words. The Boise State player said something to Blount, and Blount said something back: with his fist. He dropped him right on the field."

:eek:hmy::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol:

got it recorded on the dvr but had to call it a night at half time. I'll have to be sure to go back and watch it. I'm sure someone will have it on line in a few hours if not already.

Phil Knight can buy a fancy locker room and uniforms but he cannot buy class.

The team injured their safety badly, Blount will be out for a while, Oregon could now lose to Purdue and Utah OOC. I hope after that happens they win the PAC 10...

Come east to play real football Shirley, Uko, Powell, Riley etc!

This is the same guy that committed to Auburn but did not qualify academically and went the JUCO route instead. 2* recruit coming out of highschool but after JUCO was a 4* recruit in 2008.

I'm so glad that Oregon got their "ducks" kicked in this game. IMO the score did not really reflect the beating the Boise State put on them.

Maybe you can point me back to where I condoned Oregon player's actions. Boise Bob made a choice to pop off and paid for it. That is all I'm saying.

He was probably still in a really bad mood. Wouldn't you be too if you had to wear a jersey with big intimidating Duck wings on the shoulders? Oh, he was also probably close to a seizure after staring at that field all night.

Seriously! Am I the only one who had trouble watching the game because of the nausiating blue field? It's the first time I've watched a Boise State home game in HD and I gotta tell ya' between the blue field and the Boise's matching blue uniforms it was a bit difficult to follow the game.

Exactly, Blount is an idiot for taking the bait and without a doubt a sore loser but ole' Boise Bob is a bigger idiot for not being ready for the backlash that followed his taunts and he got to look like Trevor Berbick against Tyson on national TV for his troubles.

What I thought was interesting about this was that Coach Peterson was running out to grab the Boise State player and was only a few inches away from the sucker punch. He didn't miss a beat either and picked the Boise State player up and got back in his face.

I doubt that Boise guy will run that mouth next time. Maybe he will learn sportsmanship and shut the ____ up next time.:good!:

i would be incredibly ashamed if a UT player ever did this. in my opinion, blount should have just let it go, what good does punching the guy in the face do? it doesn't make blount look any cool, or doesn't erase the fact that boise just beat them, it literally does more harm than good. i've also never seen someone so out of control that they had to be restrained by police (except outside of a few watering holes), which, he's lucky they didn't just arrest him right there.

if you listen to the commentators, they said that blount was kicked out of the first practice for behavioral issues. so, apparently, this isn't a one time thing, this is a pattern.
