Orson Charles (announcing at 4:30 pm EST)

Does that play into Charles's decision enough too sway him?

That Warren will be moved to WR.

What is Warrens 40 time?

Coming into college it was around a 4.8 I think ... I would think that's improved some. I think he could run as a slot receiver or as a non-blocking tight end at times ... especially in 2 tight end sets.

Is playing WR next year.

I had heard that... didn't one of the coaches say that a week or two ago?

He'd probably do well in the slot. He's got some good moves with the ball in his hands. We just didn't see him much last year.

I heard some chatter that orson may not qualify.Hasn't even took the ACT yet, is this true?

EDIT:

UGA waiting two weeks, maybe longer, on TE Orson Charles

Georgia will have to wait at least two more weeks to get an answer from tight end Orson Charles of Tampa. Maybe longer.

Charles, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 62 overall prospect, will make his college decision after returning from an official visit to Southern Cal. He had considered traveling to USC this weekend, after taking the ACT on Saturday. However, he postponed the recruiting trip to Feb. 20.

“The other date [Feb. 20] just works out better for me because of school, basketball … a lot of reasons,” Charles said.

The 6-foot-3, 227-pound Charles is mulling over offers from Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Southern Cal. He said all four of the colleges have told him they will wait as long as he needs to make a decision.

Charles has not set an exact date for his announcement. He said he will wait until after returning from California and discuss matters with his friends and family before having a better idea on his deciding date.

Charles' player host at Tennessee was sophomore defensive lineman Eric Berry. “It was cool talking to him,” he said. “He’s really in the same boat as we are because he doesn’t really know the new coaches that well yet either. It actually might be an advantage for us, but he’s really excited about them too

Man I knew the coaches were going to try Berry at new positions but this is news to me...:banghead2:

Knowing Berry he would probably be a finalist for the Outland Trophy if he did - of course he would deserve to win, but would somehow get robbed by the Big Ten.

I think we have just as much of a chance at the other schools. I think he would get immediate playing time here, and he sounded blown away by his visit.

Just from the way he talks about different places, it seems that he really likes UGA. The best news for us is the WR talent a UGA may push him this way so he is not ignored as a primary target.

I think Tennessee or USC gets him. I believe Charles would like to be a te in college, UGA signed the number 2 te in the country in Arthur Lynch, Uf is loaded at te with Corneilus Ingram and Aaron Hernandez. Tennessee is going to move Warren to WR, so Charles could get instant playing time. Hope I see him in orange next year.

Ingram will be in the NFL next season.

We have douglas and stocker too. He will have to compete against good competition whereever he goes.

I've heard Douglas could be moving to OT though, but I'm not positive on that.
Cottam is really injury prone and will be gone after this year.
Stocker is a mediocre player, and has hands of stone.

I think Charles would come in as our #2 TE and probably work up to #1 by the end of the year
