I remember scraping my lesson plans for my US History class and turning on the tv. Told them they were watching history in the making. May do it for part of my classes tomorrow. This is their 'where were you when _______ happened' moment.

Yep. I remember the exact words the reporter said when the second plane hit because they scared the 6th grade sh*t out of me. He said "Oh my God another plane just hit...this is no accident...the United States of America is under attack..."

Yeah, the first impact took place before I went to school. I remember walking to the bus stop with one of my neighbors and her telling me that a plane had crashed into the WTC. At that point I thought it was an accident, then when I was watching the news coverage at school the second impact took place.

I woke up and turned on the Weather Channel minutes before the second plane struck and said WTF...started channel surffing wondering whats up? Wish I could piss on that SOB.

My dad came and woke me up when it started. I will never forget walking into the living room literally seconds before the Second Plane hit.

I mean the Second Plane hit just a few seconds after I looked at the tv. I thought I was dreaming. I remember thinking to myself that I was still half asleep and dreaming it all. It was an unreal day.

It might be off the subject but I remember feeling the exact same way last week watching that Tornado tear up Birmingham on the Weather Channel. It makes your heart sink and makes you sick to your stomach knowing that you are watching people die live on tv.

In most cases you get only one chance with this type of op which is what happen with Carter's attempt. Carter's failure. Reagan is inaugurated, hostages released and their release becomes Reagan's success. Another example is Kennedy & the Bay of Pigs.

We all know it's the boots on the ground who make it happen but if the op requires Presidential approval then I don't think you can say not Presidential...jmo

Seal Team Six seals the deal. They had a bird go down, destroyed it and left no friendlies behind. It remains to be seen if or when pics will be released.

Even though it's not a national holiday it feels like one so I will be flying my flag today. I expect the inventory of Old Glory will shrink at Ozark Flag and various other outlets.

It's a proud, but careful day to be an American.
