and so her feelings aren't really relevant any more. This is sort of a victory for the old-timers who are always fighting change. The Power T is a strong logo while the Lady Vols logo is old and weak-looking. It may mean a lot to a lot of long-time women's basketball fans, but it is not a good logo anymore. I don't mean that as a knock--every logo for every organization gets outdated at some point, and the Lady Vols logo is just that--outdated. As is the Lady Vols name. It's just another example of Pat fans clinging to the past. Pat is gone, has been gone for a while, the women's game has evolved, and UT's women's program had best evolve as well. Otherwise, we'll continue along the path we've been one-- a weakening program with a logo to match.

See what I mean CHATT?
This bunghole has offended many. This ain't about CHW,,, its about the lady vols.
Armchair is being an a$$
and the posters who take it personal will respond.
because I disagree with the decision? Who says my opinions should align with those of others? I'm pretty sure any reputable art designer in the country would say that the logo looks old and not good. Logos, even ones that are well established, get modernized all the time. No organization keeps the same logo, with the same design, for 30+ years. The program needs revitalization in every way. That is merely my opinion.
And so far, the only one. Wait though, the misogynists will awaken any moment now😝.
Hey SV,,,, been a moment or two huh,,,lookin forward to the games.
I don't think there will be much in the way of antagonists... This logo is Pat Summit to me. I see it I think of her. Other lady vol sports just don't have the history and recognition with the logo like the BB program.
Not the Vols, the lady vols....Not separate from the Vols, just a recognition of the gender that is representing the Vols.
Yes, but there're some who just can't wait to jump in kicking and screaming about the Ladys. Never show up except to b***h (my apologies T_V, language I know😊.
Is it bad that I'm kinda proud? 😆
Not long after I heard the great news today I thought of what armchair's reaction would be... and I laughed and laughed. 😂
😀Feels good, don't it? (Our Southernisms are all out today🤣.)
Did I help make your day? Personally I'm so happy hart could walk in front of my car and I wouldn't accelerate. Welllllllll, I may not be THAT happy, (double checks the gas pedal).
LADY VOLS!!

I'm your huckleberry.
Title IX? Gender equity?
Hell, women's sports would be club level if it weren't for the male hate and socialistic minds. They'd be selling cookie dough to raise money for uniforms.
That was my point. The argument for keeping the 'lady vols' logo is an isolated phenomenon.how "socialistic minds" relates to Title IX. I doubt you can. The point of Title IX is //equality//--and yet bb fans here want to keep the women's basketball team separate and call them "ladies"--a term for women's teams that dates back to the very time when women WERE selling cookie dough for uniforms and, hence, clashes with the very idea of equality. So you've got it backwards.
