This is about the dumbest thing I've read and I've read plenty of dumb things on a few of these threads!

There are a lot of Logo's in other sports/leagues that haven't changed for years are you wanting the same for those programs/teams?

However you view it is irrelevant, this was the right move!

And for someone to be such a fan of the program, you never have anything positive to say about the program....

Do us all a favor and FIND ANOTHER TEAM TO CHEER FOR!

Further proves Bama Dave didn't know what the heck he was doing. Currie has been here just over 6 months and already has the Lady Vols name back. Great decision!

because I disagree with the decision? Who says my opinions should align with those of others? I'm pretty sure any reputable art designer in the country would say that the logo looks old and not good. Logos, even ones that are well established, get modernized all the time. No organization keeps the same logo, with the same design, for 30+ years. The program needs revitalization in every way. That is merely my opinion.

Hey SV,,,, been a moment or two huh,,,lookin forward to the games.

I don't think there will be much in the way of antagonists... This logo is Pat Summit to me. I see it I think of her. Other lady vol sports just don't have the history and recognition with the logo like the BB program.

Not the Vols, the lady vols....Not separate from the Vols, just a recognition of the gender that is representing the Vols.

It was an extremely stupid move to take such a well known and recognizable emblem and name away. But, look at whom our idiot admin hired...'nuff said or I'll wear out the asterisk key😄.

Has nothing at all to do with this. I want all our athletes to be treated the same; I think they should represent the university with the same name and logo. It's the "Lady Vol" fans who want to make an (old fashioned) distinction.

how "socialistic minds" relates to Title IX. I doubt you can. The point of Title IX is //equality//--and yet bb fans here want to keep the women's basketball team separate and call them "ladies"--a term for women's teams that dates back to the very time when women WERE selling cookie dough for uniforms and, hence, clashes with the very idea of equality. So you've got it backwards.

That was my point. The argument for keeping the 'lady vols' logo is an isolated phenomenon.

Title IX is not about equality. It's about getting greedy little hands on the football money.
