This is about Texas. This is not about Nebraska or Colorado. If Texas wanted a Big 12 there would be one. They want to go to a conference that doesn't believe in having a conference title game. It's certainly not about putting a bunch of football superpowers together. What scares an SEC fan more...Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Cal, Washington or Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Michigan, Penn St.?

No doubt losing the RRR would be huge to OU.

That said, most Sooner fans thought the same once they were stripped of their annual Thanksgiving meeting with fellow bigxi charter member Nebraska.

Point is, 14 years later we're still talking about OU.
They don't need Nebraska, Texas, nor some OU apologist on a Volunteer board explaining their position.

There following of Texas, to keep the RRR intact, proves Castiglione is a gutless pos.

I really wish Oklahoma would get their heads out of their rear and just tell the Austin Cows to go on to the pac-whatever. Oklahoma has some early history to this part of the country and lots of families in Oklahoma trace their roots back to NC, Georgia, and TN, in particular. They would be invigorated as a program w/ new rivalries to build on and their inclusion would help the SEC, also. Missouri was very good in the 50's and somewhat in the 60's-maybe they ought to petition the SEC and invigorate their sports base, also.
