Well, if we’re not healthy, we’re not beating bama or uga.

Good news on the other 3:
Usce is a revenge game at home
Uf is missing talent at all the most important places. Really, they suck.
A&M who knows with their culture issues? They have talent, but don’t know how to win.

too soon.

if they do suck, I can't wait to see how bad.

Go Vols!

For the love of God, can we PLEASE keep politics off this board? Plenty of threads to hate on Biden in the Politics board.

That said:

Our biggest enemy is.............

ourselves.

Half of this game is 90% mental

Our ppg will not be close to 48.
New rules mean less plays per game.
Ceiling of 40 . More likely 35.
Depends on how much we run the score up on the cupcakes.
Wee Little Nicky will not give up 52 this year. Short little whinner will have his boy Spanky stop the refs from dropping flags. Expect an 80 yard bammer advantage in penalties.
It would take us 3 or 4 games to score 48 on the Bulldogs.
Suck as they might,
the swamp is still the swamp.

Lol you willing to bet on that? A fully healthy 2023 team is still losing to at least Georgia... unless Milton is a Heisman finalist and the OL is as good as last year and the secondary is way better.
I have serious doubts all 3 happen.

Saying UF "sucks" seems a little premature and arrogant to me. The Gators are gonna be a tough game.

Getting UGA at home makes it much more realistic than last year… yeah UGA is elite but we bailed them out real bad with pre snap penalties early we couldn’t keep the tempo rolling… that won’t be an issue this year and we have some wrs that can run by any db in the nation and a Qb that can hit them no matter where they are on the field… OL protection will be huge I can see 11-1 with a loss to Bama or even 12-0… look at my post last year pre season I called 9-10 regular season wins… heup can beat any team in the nation with this is his most talented team ever top to bottom offense and defense watch what he does with it.

It's injuries.

The starters on this offense can light it up. If they can stay healthy, we may be looking at 48 ppg. Even if the D is still a year away, we aren't losing at 48 ppg. Bama is regressing and we get uga at home. If healthy, I think we win both of those.

Heup will have this team looking like a cat playing with a mouse for the rest of our schedule.

Avoid injuries and we are in the CFP.

The key game this season is beating Florida in Gainesville and getting that 20 year monkey off our backs.

You're still saying the team will be better than last year

Yes the team as a whole is better and deeper than last year… Wright and Hooker will be tough to replace but that happens every year at major programs… I trust elerbee heup and halzle to have Milton and the OL ready to go… tell me where you feel last years team has a clear advantage over this years team?

But they do suck. You really think a Graham Mertz-led offense is gonna be a tough game? C’mon, be serious. If we don’t stomp them in Gainesville, then Heup doesn’t have us on the trajectory we all think he does.

I mean thats true for every team every year so its moot. UGA and Bama (in that order) are our biggest opponents bar none. We can lose to Bama and if we beat UGA and eun the table SEC wise we are still in. Lat year our defense (secondary especially) was ravaged by injuries and we pretty much lost our best WR for all intents and purposes the whole season. We had lots of nicks and bumps on the oline and we still came out 11-2. I think 9-4 wins is the floor playoffs is the ceiling. I do not see us beating Bama at their place after what we did to them last year. If you'd asked Will Anderson the toughest stadium to play in and the team he hated most before last year TN wasnt on his list. Those guys have that game circled. UGA is still a good bit ahead of us talent wise but we play them in Neyland so we have a chance. Florida and A&M are scary games because no one knows what those teams are gonna be. They both have talent,, hate all you want its true.

If our guys can stay bought in and locked in and healthy we can make the playoffs. But, it wont be a cakewalk.

Yeah, we beat them every 7 or 8 years and then the next year our fans think we are gonna dominate them. It's laughable. This will be a tough road game. It's more winnable than usual but far from any gimme.

Injuries for sure but off-field/locker room distractions, coaching changes, media hype and all those "other things" the kids can get into, can definitely affect us!
