Our boy Jason Witten

The 'Boys just beat the defending champs and ESPN only wants to talk about this team falling apart. That's comical. And I loved that "kinda weird for a team that's not won a playoff game in 12 years" shot.

Are you a cowboys fan?

T.O. is a great player. He would be a great teammate if he would just learn how to shut up.

TO is about TO. Keep him. I would'nt want him near a team of mine. May be why UT didnt want him but UTC did. I think he developed the TO persona in SF though.

Oh i agree. I don't like him at all. He's a parasite on a team.

TO is an awesome athlete. He could be totally dominant if he worked at anything like Jerry Rice. He also has the personality of a spoiled 6 year old. I could give a man the benefit of a doubt for an episode or two, however this guy causes the same crap at every team he plays for.

He's probably changed in these past few years (out of necessity), but in school Jason was a bit timid. His brother Shawn was a lot more aggressive. I don't know about Ryan, since he was several years older than us.

Go Cyclones! Yah Ryan was a pretty laid back guy as well. Honestly, I didn't think any of the Witten's were aggressive, troublemakers back in high school.

I would say TO has worked extremely hard to get where he is today. Talent alone does not get you to his level

T.O-is the poster child for 1 of 2 NFL mindsets. The "T-O" paradigm "I am the greatest thing since sliced bread, i can do what i want when i want, everyone should cater to me, and i can do no wrong, its all about me and not the team,,," then you have on the flip side the Peyton and Eli Manning attitude "I will do what it takes to win, i put my team above all else,,,"

and that was clearly shown by Peyton taking a pay raise when his team needed to go get defensive players to win right?

off the field, if you are offered x amount of pay increase, generally you are going to take it. When was the last time you heard peyton or eli starting problems off the field, you know shooting themselves in the leg fighting dogs, making it rain, drug charges etc etc. great example these thugs are setting for our youth. I think the only time Peyton has been involved in any problems is when he called mike vanderjadt a drunken canadian, which was pretty right on...

Peyton, deserves a raise he is the best player in the NFL by a landside. Hell I'd take the raise too!

If PM was truly a "whatever it takes for my team to succeed" (like you stated) he would have let his team put the money to better use (for defense). He made no sacrifice to get it done any faster. Although he did take a cut after the SB win. Ironic huh?

and how does any of what you typed pertain to TO? Seriously, pick a topic and stick to it

well if you read what i was posting i was making a comparison of two different paradigms in the NFL, i was comparing that TO situation and others like him to the other type of mindset in the NFL, it was on topic and an example, i find it often the best way to prove a point is to use an example, but way to pick up on it though... :good!:

T.O. has done none of this.

Vader handles Witten's light work down in the South Lake area.
:p

I have a good friend who grew up in Elizabethton and knows Witten and his wife well. I have been trying to talk him into coming out to visit me and introducing me to Witten. I wouldn't even wear any Redskins gear.

It makes me feel a little old, but one of my freshman "suite mates" in North Carrick (also from Elizabethton) went on to be Witten's HS O-line coach.

I will agree that TO has worked hard, but he shouldn't have so many drops if he really practiced like he could. Everyone can get better at his craft, all TO gets better at, is complaining.
The main point I wanted to make is with TO physical talents and size that he could be totally unstoppable if he worked at his craft with the professionalism that Jerry Rice used to.

When has T.O. ever slammed a woman down, faced drug charges, or engaged in any other random illegal activity?

He's second all time behind Jerry Rice in td receptions and didn't have the luxury of playing with Montana and Young for most of his career.

When the cowboys make 4 decisions, they will be 100% better, and have real chances to win titles:

1. Get Jerry Jones and his son out of personnel decision making--they are clueless
2. Fire Wade Phillips--he's a buffoon
3. Get rid of owens, a cancer whereever he goes--good receivers are a dime a dozen
4. Hire Bill Cowher instead of the overrated Jason Garrett

:eek:lol:

1.Jerry owns the team and hes Driving the BUS just like AL!
2. Wade is a DC @ best and a great D position coach,THATS IT.
3.Psycho-BI POLAR BOY just needs to KNOW his ROLE,and quit trying to be JERRY RICE,cause he couldn't hold Jerry's JOCK!
4. :eek:lol: so funny thats like going to the Raidahs or taking the Auburn job, Cowher is a smart fellow not stupid, and Garrett is not all that great or the COWBOYS would be better on play calling!

:eek:lol: COWSISSYS, WOW YOU BIG D FANS ,REALLY just dont get it.
