Our Brutal Games Remaining.

That is a joke and an overreaction to another close loss for them...We have heard this improvement theme from them before and it's still been since Reagan's first term that they won in Neyland...Tennessee should beat Florida, Kentucky and Mizzou as well as the two you mentioned.

Florida is not a "should be" win given how weak our offense is and how average our defense is.

I will say I was so impressed with our D Saturday that the Bama game is the only game that wont go down to the wire (even they are overrated).
Sure that sounds like what a typical fan would say. But lets wait until Mizzu UF and Ole Miss play someone before we call them a loss.
Same can be said about us but I'm really excited about our D.

Alabama, Georgia, Florida all have more highly ranked talent than OU; South Carolina & Ole Miss have comparable talent to OU. No reason to think we will win any of those based on our performance against OU.

Idk man. Mizzou still has athletes. They rush the passer and Mauk, much like Bo Wallace, can really make plays. He's not the most consistent and he can make some negative plays, but can step up and make plays when they need him. I am glad that's at home. Will be a tough game.

Yeah, Maulk and Wallace are legit playmakers. OM has a solid D, Mizzou still knows how to rush the QB in a frenzy, but Mizzou is at Neyland, UT should win that one.

Just lost to Oklahoma ap rank 4

at Georgia Bulldogs ap rank 13
Florida Gators at Tennessee ap rank 33
at Ole Miss Rebels (Homecoming) rank ap 10
Alabama Crimson Tide at Tennessee rank ap 3
at South Carolina Gamecocks ap rank 14
Missouri Tigers at Tennessee Vols ap rank 18

Yes, it's brutal for all these teams that they have to play us. :loco:

The tables are turning for UT and this is recognized nationally and within our conference. I do not think that anyone (with potential exception of Florida) will look past this team. UT will mature and improve its execution in all phases. Some of the more mature will hold steady and the gap will reduce.

Hate to say this - Florida has the arrogance to assume a win, but they do have UT's number.

Assuming we stay healthy I think our defense can keep us in everyone of those games. We just have to get some better play from the OL. It should be an interesting next few weeks.
You do understand this is the OL that got trounced by Oregon last year.
I don't think the play at Oklahoma was as bad as this group at Oregon. These guys this year will get better as the year goes on, just wait and see.

Brutal games are UGA, SC, and Bama

SC will be the most difficult because they have something to prove after that loss last year
Followed up is UGA, who are pinning their hopes of staying on the polls on their game with us
Finally, Bama, who I think will have trouble against our defense. Additionally, it's at home.

UF is overrated, we gon whoop dey azz at Neyland
UK is next to last game so def going to whoop dey azz with developed talent and experience
Ole Piss...not impressed lately
Misery is a toss up
Vandy couldn't defend our passing game if Smokey was QB

Defensive stats to date against two weak opponents and one good opponent:

Yards: 43rd
Yards Per Play: 53rd
Rushing Yards: 48th
Yards Per Carry: 65th
Passing Yards: 46th
Yards Per Attempt: 36th
Scoring: 38th

So, with a softer schedule than we face the rest of the way, we do not rank in the top 35 in any statistical category. This is the sign of a medicare (though not terrible) defense.

We are all still suffering from the mindset developed during the dooley disaster. We are coming back. We see the improvement but our inferiority complex forces us to see the everyone as better than us. Hell, we were 2 plays, 2 PLAYS, away from tying Oklahoma. Good times are coming. In fact, they may already be here.

It's down to two plays now!!!! C'mon Vols, we can still pull this Oklahoma game out!!! :clapping:

No one on our defense is old enough to be on Medicare nor do any have a disability which would entitle them to this government program

Chattanooga and Vandy are really the only likely wins left. Will have to fight to get any more. (and yes I no longer consider UK as a likely win). People considering Mizzu as a likely win need to realize they won the east last year and are ranked in the top 20. That would be a huge win for TN at this point.

Mizzou is nowhere near as good as they were last year. That's a fact. But lease continue to believe with your head in the gutter. It's what some of the fan base has turned into.

The image of some of our players on the sideline laughing and cutting up during that ass whipping on national TV still sends my blood pressure sky high.

That had become routine by that time. Surprising the players were all so upset when Fulmer announced he was stepping down; if it actually mattered they wouldn't have been playing grab ass on the sidelines.

I remember thinking the same thing during the press conference. I was like "why are ya'll so upset? You're at least partly responsible for this!"
