our defense

This. The press part of our man coverage is lacking. Most of the time you see one cb playing up but hardly touching the receivers. The other dbs play 7-10 yards back. If youre gonna press, flipping press.

Yeah that leads to interceptions , makes the QB look longer and our DBs get better reads, AJ Maggit and brewer need to rush and or spy , look at Miss State , they get turnovers that way. I believe we have tools, coaches just have to use them right, freshmen have got to play, no matter what , if they mess up they learn faster, we can't go back and replay the past 9 games. Experience is the game right now, IMO, if our D will be on the field longer then build some depth. Just my two cents.

I agree but this should have been done after the Georgia game or at least after Miss St.

agree, but you know about that hindsight thing ... new scheme and we still had a chance in those games in the last few minutes.

It's easier to see after 720 yards in game 9 against supposedly lesser competition

If you thought it was bad on TV you should have been at the game to see how slow the defense was. They play with no instinct. Our pass rush was pathetic. Our DB's were a step slow all game long. I think the extra size that Lathers has put on has killed any speed that he had before. Our LB's play a step slow. We bring no pressure at all. I dont see how you can not bring pressure and still get picked apart like we are getting. Our DB's run down the field with the WR but never turn around toward the ball.
