Community gardening was a thing in the hippie era (1970s). But Repubs disdained and discredited it, fearing impact on the rising agribusiness. The 1980s saw a brief push for the concept of garden lawns. Meaning, instead of growing grass, grow vegetables and to a lesser degree, fruits. Repubs disliked this, citing it smacked of militant environmentalism. Came up with various pseudo-science to oppose it, like they would attract non-native invasive pests etc. Each attempt by the people to be self-sufficient, break the stranglehold and control on our food supply, got stifled. Long live capitalism!!!It would involve land acquisition where 1940s housing was destroyed. If have to check further into that.
Edit: on second thought no. The people around here use the earth as their garbage can. There is no way they would show any respect for a community garden.
It's easily available.

Post 101. I'm sure there's a much more technical definition or three out there, but we're not talking about Mendel's pea plants.
That's not what GMO's meant for the last so many years. Have you heard about the new horseless carriages? You need to revert to being a hunter gatherer and stay out of the grocery stores if you want non GMO food. Since the advent of agriculture humans have been genetically modifying plants and animals.
There's a large number of things banned in most countries that the US allows in their foods. Good thing our medical system isn't for profit or I might smell a conspiracyWhen even China won't accept our poisonous beef... I swear it is like the people running this country want to kill us.
So what do these other 160 countries know that we don't?
