i don't know, but i tell you, watching the Stanley Cup last year, and seeing the fans in Edementon sing the Canadian anthem by themeselves was pretty darn cool.

the guy that is supposed to sing it solo comes and gets started...and then just quit about a 1/4 way thru and let hte crowd finish it, and it wasn't planned that way...... the whole arena sang it and got loud and excited.....really cool stuff.

The most unique rendition I've ever heard live was before a World Series game in 1996 I think when John Popper played it on the harmonica . . . Then the Yankees proceeded to overcome a 2 games to none series lead and wax the Braves in 4 straight. That harmonica solo was the only good thing about that week. :bad:

Wasn't that before Game 4, the infamous Leyritz game? I went to that game, but missed the anthem -- I seem to remember coming out into the stands just as Popper was walking off the field. I had a very bad case of flu, though, so I might be mistaken.

(Freaking Wohlers. Freaking Leyritz. Freaking right-field umpire that kept Jermaine Dye from catching a foul ball that would have ended the 8th before Leyritz ever came up. Yes, I'm still bitter.)
