Our OC is bad

I know I’ll get a lot of ridicule for this but Arkansas State lost again today, and they are in danger of missing a bowl game two years in a row. There is definitely a possibility that Butch is a free agent within the next month or so. Now obviously I’m not saying we hire him as head coach but he could turn out as to be an excellent OC for us. He’d have to learn Heupel’s offense but I’m sure he’s up to the challenge.

lol. Why would we hire a former head coach to be an OC here? Especially one who has shown no skill or success calling plays….

Last year our offense was much more creative. Seemed like we had special plays designed for each team. If they stuffed the middle then we would go outside. If they covered the wide outs then we threw to the tight ends or the running back. I always felt like our offense had a chance no matter the situation. This year they try same common safe plays over and over when they aren't working.

They're afraid with this QB. It is what it is. I just hope they're getting Nico ready

I would get banned easily for what I want to respond to this post.

Butch Jones doesn't belong within 100 miles of another SEC program.

And ...no.....I DGAF what he did or didn't do at Alabama.

Sorry to be so harsh but jeesh...its Lyle.

No disrespect intended toward you personally.

Tell us how many times a Butch Jones offense led the SEC in rushing and averaged 30+ a game.

Josh Huepel is the primary play caller. Idk exactly what part Golesh had in the offense, but Huepel has called the plays since he got here, hence him walking around with a play sheet and covering his mouth.
If so, why is the play calling much different than last year, unless it is the qb?

Awful misinformed thread. The OC is just a figure head. Golesh offense stinks at USF lol. You miss Hendon Hooker and Jalin Hyatt.

Golesh called plays here. Heupel’s offense but he was still calling plays.

You must be out of your ever lovin' mind to suggest UT have anything to do with that miserable excuse of a coach.

You said it. Heupels offense. He’s gonna tell what the OCs to call. The reason our offense stalls this year is bad QB and WR play at crucial times. Offense would be just as good if Hooker and Hyatt were still out there lmao. Come on now.

Yes miss Golesh. Not it wasn't the OC. UT's D couldn't get off the field. The O made critical mistakes. Two fumbles were killers. Squirrel dropped a critical pass. Not really a play calling problem there.

MU sold out and stuffed the run. UT threw the ball well. They just made some really bad mistakes and hurt themselves.
Truth. Wright’s fumble sealed the loss. If he doesn’t fumble there, we would have scored and taken momentum into the half with what I think would have been a much stronger drive to open the 2nd half.
