I agree and it would seem to be the reason why we haven't had a true PG in years. Larry Austin may buck that trend, but I'm not sure if he will be able to beat the system here.

I guess what I am trying to say is a more attack mind ed pg should be attacking despite the offense or system they are in. Our pgs are just comfortable to stay within it.(not trying to knock either one just sayin)

I saw a zero star, 6'4, hunched over bald, pigeon toed white dude take it to the hole for Belmont against Ky more in one half than I have seen our pgs do in 10 games.
CM doesn't ask them to do it. Doesn't set plays for them to do it. He doesn't really allow them to do it because they cross over midcourt and get rid of the ball to the wing. Doesn't clear lanes and spread the floor for them to do it. Doesn't do clearouts to let them take their man, unless we have a man on each side of the pg so their man can drop down and help on the drive.

Hardly anybody can penetrate with bad shooting teammates in positions where help D doesn't have to move. Many kids can penetrate when you give them a pick and some space, or just space.

lol good stuff.

Seriously tho my only criticism of DT is that he picks up that dribble too early and too far out sometimes. It hasn't cost him yet, but it will im afraid. Love my dudes vision tho.

His shot will be fine just needs confidence. And I hope with time and confidence he starts asserting himself as more of a penetrating pg.

he picks up because the offense tells him to stop, pick up his dribble and pass it to the wing. He doesn't have free reign to run the court. That's CM's and he won't relinquish it.
